Question about 2000 Harley Davidson FXSTS Springer Softail
Sounds like it's tripping the main circuit breaker. It is located on the rear splash gaurd. I would try replacing it first before tracking down a short, they do go bad over time and is pretty common. Make sure the connections are clean and tight. Good luck!
