There is no reason to open up the engine just because a bore job is being done.

My mechanic is asking to re bore my bajaj pulsar 150 2006 model. Just wanted to check if i should do that or replace the entire bore piston kit

Hi, Amit it takes special equipment and skill to bore a cylinder properly so it can be guaranteed then there is the price difference if you trust your mechanic and reboring is substantially cheaper then go for it but if the difference is just a few "DRACHMA" then get the big bore kit for more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need, please click on the links below. Pulsar 150 CC 2008 Model -I forgot to change engine oil for 10 mnths & nw the mechanic say engine got ceased and bore and piston kit has to be changed. How much it cost for both piston kit and bore ?

Hi, Muth* I recommend a big bore kit for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. I have honda stunner bike i changed bore piston with connecting rod still smoke come when high tourqe

There are a number of possible reasons to get smoke including:
Cylinder bore scored, causing rings to not seat.
Damaged rings during piston replacement
Valve guides leaking
Mixture wrong (is smoke blue, white or black?)

Is it pouble to change the piston ring wihout pulling down the engine

YEs it is possible . You have to remove the head and sump and there will be a ridge at the top of the cylinder that has to be removed before the piston will come out . If the ring is broken then I suspect that the bore will be scored and new rings will be a waste of money as it will require a rebore to fix and that means all pistons have to be replaced

Starting problem and too much black smoke

hi Khalelul,

i think the problem is your piston rings or bore,
first of all please check the valve sheets rubbers.
and if it is low cost replace the piston rings set and check the results,
good luck.

regards.

Engine problem

The bike has bad piston rings. The piston may need to be replaced and the cylinder may need to be honed or re-bored. If you continue to ride just don't let the oil get low.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!
