I'd have a look at the clutch assembly. Specifically, check the nut that holds the clutch assembly onto the mainshaft. You'll have to take the primary cover off and remove the snap ring from the center of the clutch assembly. The nut is behind the there. It has LEFT HANDED THREADS and torques to 60-80 ft. pounds. If the vibration stops with the clutch pulled in or the tranny in neutral, that's the giveaway. Look for something in that area. It could be the bearing in the inner primary or the bearing inside the final drive gear allowing the clutch assembly to vibrate.

Good Luck

You know, I've heard of that being a problem with the Twin Cam engines. Until they came out, I'd never heard of a flywheel slipping in the older engines. I do know that on the Twin Cam flywheel, the crank pin is pressed into the flywheel halves rather than "bolted" like the older pins were.

Now, here's the question. Who made the 103" stroker flywheel assembly that you're having installed and what did they do to prevent the same thing from happening to it? I've heard of the same problem with the 103" Screaming Eagle engine as well.

2000 toyota solaro, very bad vibrating when sitting idle, especially when ac is running. replaced all the motor mounts. it didn't vibrate until I changed the motor mounts. ???help

Maybe the drain on the battery is causing the engine to slow during idle This might cause the engine to run roughly and induce vibration. Why change motor mounts. Have a service and refit the original mounts if they are not an issue

I have 2006 harley FLH CVO WITH NEW TRUE DUAL EXHAUST AND POWER COMMANDER THAT HAS A BAD VIBRATION AT IDOL

the only thing spinning and vibrating at idle is the crankshaft, gear box , clutch and flywheel
if the power commander is electronic there may be a fault in it
best place for these faults is a dealer shop as they are aware of these sorts of problems

Lancer vibrates at 90 to 100 ks at front at front left

bent rim, tires out of balance, worn cv axle, bad wheel bearing, warped brake rotor, bad tire. Change that wheel to the rear, and see if the vibration moves with the wheel. Depending on the vibration, could be a motor/transmisson mount.

2000 buell lightning exsesive vibration

Um, It's a Harley Product. They all Vibrate ALOT. You could check all the mounts on the bike - between the cylinders under the gastank, on the front of the front cylinder and at the rear of the motor under the battery - look for broken bolts, loose bolts and worn rubber mounts.

My front of my car vibrates like crazy everytime I accelerate and turn right but when I let off the has it stops

Sounds like maybe a busted motor mount or transmission mount, or a worn out cv drive axle.Look under the front of the car at the drive axles there is 4 rubber boots 2 on each axle inner boot and outer boot.See if one or more of the boots is torn or split.

Hi, Jjlaporte and the usual suspects are:
1. Wheels and or tires worn or damaged.
2. Engine/transmission/vehicle not aligned properly.
3. Primary chain is badly worn or links too tight as a result of insufficient lubrication or misalignment.
4. Engine to transmission mounting bolts loose.
5. Upper engine mounting bracket loose.
6. Ignition timing incorrect due to a poorly tuned engine.
7. Internal engine problem flywheels have shifted.
8. Broken frame.
9. Stabilizer links worn or loose.

2005 dyna wide glide...fuel injected...have engine vibration during acceleration...bike is smooth free wheeling at 70 mph...vibration returns with engine speed...need help

I'd check the motor mounts. The front mount is easy to get to but the rear isn't quite so easy. I'd check the front mount and the top engine stabilzer.

I assume that you've owned this bike long enough to know how it should feel. The Dyna series has rubber engine mounts. They do a very good job of dampening engine vibration once the engine gets up in it's rpm range. When the engine is idling, the vibrations can be felt then. When accelerating, you can feel some vibration but it should be bad.

Check your engine mounts and your primary chain adjustment. If it's something to do with the fuel system, I'm afraid that a dealer is going to have to check that for you. Good Luck!

My 2009 Dyna Super Glide Custom motorcycle has had an unusual amount of vibration overall when under way while accelerating or deaccelerating through 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears. It seems to me to be either...

You can check for a loose or broken motor mount but you need to consider how the rubber mounts work. The mounts absorb high frequency vibrations. Low frequency vibrations will be felt throughout the machine.

On most Dyna's, the bike vibrates when idling. When accelerating though the gears (and decelerating back down) if the engine rpm's gets below about 2000 rpm's, you'll feel the vibration. Once above this level, the bike smooths out due to the change in frequency of the vibrations. I have owned a '94 FXDWG since new and this is my experience with the bike.

However, if the vibration is very bad, you may need to have it looked at by a technician. You'll have to determine that for yourself.

Check the engine mounts to the frame. these are isolated by rubber and you may have broken one gettin' on it at the light.

Vibration at 2900 RPM

I have the same problem with my Roadking except it wasnt dropped. I did a full alignment of rear tire to engine, aligned the rear tire to front tire, aligned the engine and replaced the front motor mount. Nobody seems to have an answer, that I've talked to anyway. If you find a cure let me know, If I find one I'll let you know.
