To check the stator, you should have continuity between all three yellow wires and no continuity between any yellow wires and ground. If the stator tests good you probably need the regulator/rectifier.

2001 honda cbr 929 rr help wont start fuel pump works tested but doesnt kicked on when switched on main fuse blew replaced opened wire harness replaced burned wire looked didnt see any open wires

Hi, Keyth the following is a systematic procedure for diagnosing fuel pump issues designed to keep "DRACHMA" to a minimum. If you need parts check with Amazon and eBay first to keep costs down.
1. If your pump does not turn on check the pump fuse and relay and all wiring including connectors for corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets.
1. Normal fuel pump pressure is 3-5 PSI.
2. Check any rubber or plastic tubing for age-related pinholes by removing and plugging the ends that connect to the fuel valve and then turn on the ignition switch and watch for fuel streams exiting the pinholes, if any exist, replace tubing as necessary.
3. Check for a clogged a primary fuel filter that comes off the bottom of the pump to screen out big rocks and clean as necessary.
4. Check for a clogged secondary fuel filter that's outside if applicable by removing it from the system and replace it with a short splicing tube turn on the ignition switch and recheck fuel pressure if pressure increases to normal pressure you need a new secondary filter.
5. If all the above check out OK and the pump is not functioning properly then you need a new fuel pump.

With the engine running are you getting any voltage off the alternator? check with a multimeter. Check voltage at battery while running should be 13 volts or more.

Cbr Speedometer Problem

It sounds like a loose connection in the wiring harness as you described moving wires around... either that, or there is some ferrous debris stuck to your speedo pickup. My dad''s VW wagon was throwing CEL codes that said the cam timing sensor was faulty. VW kept resetting the codes, saying this was normal. Three visits later, someone finally went and looked, and there was a piece of ferrous casting flash that had attached itself to the cam timing pickup (magnetic). Debris removed, no more CEL codes. Any inductive pickup like that will be thrown off if there is debris that has attached itself via magnetism. But the most obvious and likely culprit is loose wiring connections, as mentioned already.

Bad battery

though if it was a problem it would have blown the 10amp fuse????Don't rely on on whether the bike will start at a gas station to determine if the charging system is working. Get the multimeter out and do a proper test. Should be getting about 14.5 volts @ around 3K RPM. It's too easy of a test to to just skip. If it is charging then start looking for something else. Was the new battery properly charged to begin with? Loose battery connection? I suppose the GPS could be too much but you said that it was dying last november so I would suspect something else. P.S. you need a properly charged battery to get an accurate reading for the charging test. ,,,
