Low comperssion maza 626 after replaced headgasket


Did it have good or fair compression before the repair? Could be poor work or improper part used. More than likely due to timing of the valves now off and this is letting the motor spin with the valves open. Could be damaged head/valves. This is common on interference type motors where the piston and come in contact with the valves. They get bent when the timing belt is broken or improperly replaced and then you have much bigger problems than a faulty head gasket. Check the valves are fully seating. Verify the lash and if way off you likely have bent the valves.

Four cylinder or V6? Best case scenario you bent some valves. Worst case scenario you put a hole through piston. If the belt is broke before you replace it you can pull the valve cover and remove the cam bearing caps so all the valves will be closed. Then use a compression gauge to see if all the cylinders still have compression. Off the top of my head it should be around 130psi. If you have one or more with significantly less compression you have bigger issues.

different bikes restrict by different means, sometimes smaller carbs are put on other times the jets are just changed to a lower width, the exhaust shape can restrict airflow from the engine. sometimes the airbox restricts flow into the engine. so first stop is check how high a jet you can get for carb, maybe get a jet air filter racing kit.may need to change exhaust for a power pipe. you can put a bigger sprocket on front end for less accelleration but higher top end or smaller for higher accelleration. you can put a bigger sprocket on back for greater accelleration loosing top end. you could change the piston for a higher compression piston and/ or have the head skimmed. the list goes on and if its a 2stroke there's reed valve to play with.

first you must determine if you have r12 or r134a to find out find the compressor follow the 2 hoses on should go tward the radiator and one should be heading back tward the firewall. you should find a valve on each line. now to determine which coolant r12 will have a small valve that looks like the valve on a bicycle tire. r134a will have a bigger valve that has a ring around it as to accept a snap clip. your local parts store should be able to show you the difference. if you have r12 then my suggestion would be to have a shop do the retrofit for you for around 100/150 dollars. hope this helps

1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara just had the engine replaced, but it is burning oil out the tailpipe the warranty company is saying it is the value covers, is this true


Valve covers leaking oil OUT the tail pipe, no way in hell! Valve covers can leak oil onto the exhaust manifold, but there is no way its going to get into the exhaust from there and out the tail pipe.

Bad valve guides and/or valve guide seals would put oil from the top of the head and into the cylinders. That is a far bigger job than just replacing valve cover gaskets.

Don't let the warranty company give you any more of that kind of BS.

Need to the intake an exhausts valves


If the heads are off the exhaust valves are always the bigger valves and the intake the smaller ones.

Can you put a 750 head on a rf900r?


no not a tall buddy because off the valves and the bore is bigger you can get the heads reskimmed which will make it smaller for more compression

Before looking for a different engine, I would take the original one out and take off the head. Check to see if the valve damaged the piston and if everything is good, have a valve job done and put it back together. It should be cheaper than trying to put in a different motor. Hope it helped.
