If you just want more power out of a chain drive bike buy a counter shaft sprocket that has one tooth less than the one on your bike(example go from 14 teeth to 13 teeth). It will only cost between $10-$20 and give you more power with out any of the problems of more complicated modifications.

Meilun 250 bogs at half throttle

Hi, Edwin lets break this down to a simple explanation. There are some riders that want better performance from their motorcycle without spending a "DRACHMA" these are mods that were implemented back in the Teradactal era and are still used to this day. Your engine is nothing more than a well-engineered air box, the more air/fuel it can suck in and push out the better the performance. The trick is keeping the air/fuel mixture perfectly balanced to the engine size and exhaust output. By drilling holes and leaving out the air filter more air can be sucked in and we all know what high winds can do to a forest fire, the same principle. I would venture to say that there may have been some carb re-jetting to accommodate the extra air so the bike wouldn't fall on its face, it's all about balance. When you put the new (no holes) air box and filter on you decreased the amount of air and flow getting to the combustion chamber but not the fuel volume, ergo you are running way to much fuel resulting in poor performance. I do applause you for wanting clean air it allows your engine to live longer. That being said you need to balance the air/fuel ratio by dropping down a couple of sizes on your main jet in order for the bike to perform acceptable with the newly installed parts. "CAUTION" measure the existing main jet with jet drills because some riders will drill out their stock main jet without changing the identifying number stamped on it or just start with a stock main jet designed for your bike. Once you get the bike to perform ok you can fine-tune it for maximum performance. Kymco agility 2012,i want to put a 72cc big bore kit on it,at mo running standard 50cc carb, was told i need to up my jet size.

Use a numbered drill set, measure the jet size using the drill bit set, then select a drill bit two numbered sizes larger and drill out the main jet, that should get you in the ball park. Here is a link to a numbered Drill bit set. 60 Pc Titanium Nitride Coated High Speed Steel Numbered Drill Bit Set

Are you comfortable with your jetting? Is it performing well through the powerband, and does it appear to be zero'd in? (reading spark plugs, exhaust pipes not getting too hot etc). Is everything else up to snuff like timing? DYNATEK performance makes a nifty performance ignition that can wake up your bike, and a free flowing air intake can help it breath easier, you've taken steps to get it "out" better, be sure it can get it "in" better and burn it most efficient.

17.5 carb jetting speedfight 3 rs ac

the carby would have had the correct jet installed for the venturi size
It would have been better to leave it at that and then cut back in jet size
air filters do not affect performance unless they are blocked and it is a fact the so called high performance air filters let larger dust particles through and that cause a shorter engine life
mufflers can be changed to get better performance but it can be a trade off for noise
price is no guarantee of better so consider going to a bike shop that has a bike dyno and asking what muffler make and design will give the best increase in performance then have the bike tuned to get max performance from the muffler and new carby
the real way to get performance is not by guessing but by running the bike on the dyno so all performances can be graphed and improved upon

How can you max out your nsr? what would i have to get for it?

The bascs are - For your NSR - Remove the intake restrictor, drill some holes in the exhaust, and find a replacement jet for the carb.
Sounds simple but is not. Had a bunch of stuff for you to read but post would not go (before). Search Google "2001 Honda NSR 125 R" to find specific info and forums for your bike, and dont experiment unless you can afford to.

The adjustable chuck on my sons Jet JHM-610 comes off when using it in the milling function. What is the best fix for my situation? It is coming off at the taper.

You should really be using end mill tool holders for milling. The torque is too great for drill chucks. You will get better results machining with surface finish, size as well as longer tool life. Side note..take care with reassembly of drill chuck. Tapers must be dirt and burr free or chuck will have run out as well as taper lock will break and come apart on you more often. If there is damage to the tapers replace the arbor and or chuck with new.

Defective Ni-Cad Battery

Try Re-Conditioning the battery first. Full procedure at: ysuusy.com/easybatteryfix.html
"Cordless Power Tool Batteries and other batteries that contain Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) Cells can be Re-Conditioned to perform as well as new or even better than new. Proper maintenance after the procedure will insure years of usable life.
The First and most common procedure for Re-Conditioning a NiCd cell is by using a Technique called "VOLTAGE SURGING". Over time the crystals within a NiCd cell begin to combine and get larger. This causes them to loose capacitance and also break through the inner seals of the cell.

Surging the NiCd cell using a higher voltage causes the crystals within the NiCd cell to shatter and become smaller. These smaller crystals have a greater surface area and therefore contain a greater capacitance for energy. "
