Replace the oil pressure sending unit, it is the most common cause of this light, if the pressure was low the engine would make noise very quickly.

Oil light 2006 hyundia sonota

The engine noise indicates that the oil light is not lying to you- there is a loss of oil pressure. Make sure the oil level is full. If the light comes on when making severe maneuvers or braking, the oil may be flowing away from the pickup tube in the oil pan. The oil pan may need to have a baffle in it to stop the oil slosh. Otherwise, if the light stays on for more than a few seconds, the pickup screen may be plugged with muck or sludge. If the oil light and noise happen after the car has gotten fully warm (like after freeway driving) it could be excessive wear in the oil pump or engine bearings.

Loss of power when hot

Have you tried to change the fuel filter. This may be due for a change, or have some contaminant slowing the fuel down.
Also have you tried a fuel additive to clean the fuel system.
Try adding some methylated spirits. This will mix water with petrol and take it out of your fuel system. You can add 1/2 pint or 300 ml to a tank full of fuel without any change in performance. You do not need to do this often.

could be a knock sensor or rockers knocking until oil warms up and oil pressure seals the lifters

Oil light flashes on at low idle after engine gets warmed up

if the engine is running fine and no loss of power and no noises i would suggest repplacing the oil pressure sensor, chryslers have had the same problem for years, what happens is the sensor itself starts leaking oil internally and will ebentually start coming out if the connector and that means that the sensor has been compromized, hope this helps

Flashing oil light/ loss of power

Check your converter on your exhaust when it's running and see if the noise of rattling is coming from there. If it is you have a plugged converter,it's broken up and in piece's which will make noise and no power especially when calling for power.Be sure to let exhaust cool before repair is done.If the engine is making the noise like a knocking sound you should bring it to have it checked.Hope this help's.
