Vm26-606 brand new out of the box, fuel pouring out the float overflow tube, tried adjusting the float with no luck. please help

Hi, Andrew take the carb apart and use a magnifying glass if necessary on the needle and seat it nay have contamination or defect from Mikuni otherwise the usual suspects are:
1. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system.
2. Loose float bowl screws.
3. Damaged float bowl o-ring.
4. improper fuel level in the float bowl.
5. Worn or dirty inlet valve or seat.
6. Damaged or leaking float assembly.
7. Particle contamination in inlet fitting cavity.

How do I adjust a Mikuni roundslide carb. Thanks

Turn the air screw and the throttle screw inward until they LIGHTLY seat. Now turn each of them outward one and one half turns. This is the factory setting. You might want to clean the carbs. After cleaning, before you put the slide back into the carb, move the clip on the jet needle downward one notch. This will richen the fuel mix and help with the bog.

Float setting for BS34ss carb

I have a set my float to 22.0 +- 1.0 for a Mikuni carb.
To set floats, drain the carbs, pull the carbs from the bike invert and remove float bowl.
With the carb inverted, take off the float bowls. Take off the gasket. Use a vernier caliper or an accurate device to measure from the carb body to the top of the float block.
Here is are a couple of good sites about carbs and such.
