Holding the select button for 2 seconds should work. You do need the ignition on, obviously, and you need to be sure it is displaying the odometer and not Trip A or B.
If you got the owners handbook with the bike the information is in the book.

After my 20mile ride into work a green liquid came out of the rubber pipe under the engine. Not sure if its break fluid. Its a 1250 Bandit 07 reg. ABS

Hi, Rolf if it was brake fluid your brakes would either fail or become very spongey no the green liquid is engine coolant, either overfilled or the system needs to be bled if you just changed your coolant, for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere zero $ you can download another one. For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the blue links below. Good luck and have a wonderful day.

I need to change the speedo from kilometers to miles. Can't find my owners book.

[*]Set your odometer to "Odometer" and not a trip meter.
[*]Press the "SEL" button for 2 seconds to switch between KMH and MPH

This only works on the US models.. UK too.. most Canadian models do not have this function.

Nice bike!

Best of luck.

Increasing the sound

wont realy change the sound at all, would be a waste of money. in my opinion dump the whole exhaust system because it stranles the engine and replace with a de-catted system, you may still be able to use the yoshi end can
