Hi i have a 2003 honda vtr firestorm just wondering when cam chain and tensioner should be changed .Also at what intervals should bike be serviced.

Manufacturer recomeds tensioner @ 40k but please change them at 35k. My rear tensioner failed @ 40150 ks and two bent valves, valve stem seals, head gasket + the two 50$ tensioners + labour, i was back on the road.
as for the servicing i personally have been doing 5k oil and 10k oil and filter change. As long as the service intervals are with in six months apart i dont think you wil have a problem. If you dont do many k's change your oil at least once every six months-oil is cheap.

If you want to change your fork oil, best way is to drain a fork leg into a container, and measure the amount that comes out. You can make your forks softer or harder by varying the amount of oil.

Can i rebuild sprint steering damper myself

What kind of steering dumper is that? What brand?
If it uses gas chamber you cannot fill it yourself. If it is only with oil you can rebuilt it but you need some tools (depends on the brand) and if you can find a sevice manual it would be a lot better (to know how much oil to put inside and parts that you may need).

What other model's wheels will fit the honda vtr firestorm? The original wheels were damaged in an accident.

Your best bet is to get the same wheels you have. Google " motorcycle salvage honda " and you can probably find a set for a lot less than anywhere else.

Please rate this solution. Thanks rphil!
