Just lately my bostich coil framing gun is blowing out air from the top when I pull the trigger.I opened it up and the valve was stuck open so I popped it back down. Its colder now so should I be lubercating it more often or is there some other lubercant I should use in cold/damp weather to help it operate smoother?

Usually this happens with the lack of lubrication as well as small leaks in the O-ring seals. I would closely examine the seals. See the link below to see a parts breakdown for Bostitch nailers. Enter your model number and you will see the parts breakdown and part numbers. Use the diagrams as a guide for disassembly and reassembly.

Feel free to post any additional questions that you have. I have had my nailer for over 20 probelm free years. The key is lubrication.

nails will not advance on coil nailer

Generally this is caused by a lack of lubrication. Go to the link below and enter the model number. That will get you a complete parts breakdown diagram for the gun. Use that as a guide to dis-assemble the feeder area and clean it and lub it using pneumatic oil.

Feel free to post any additional questions that you have.
