My Rancher doesn't maintain high rpm. What's wrong?

Most 2-cycle chain saws have 3 carburetor adjustments; idle speed, low RPM fuel/air mix and high RPM fuel/air mix. The fuel/air mix needle valves will probably require a "special" driver tool to adjust them. Be careful with the adjustments, you can really mess things up by incorrectly adjusting them, then your saw goes from running poorly to not at all.

How to adjust the idle speed on my 1979 Aston Martin V8 Vantage

If your car is fitted with four Weber IDF carburetors, they will have to be individually adjusted for mixture and idle speed. This requires disconnecting them from the main throttle control linkage first. You must also have a Unisyn, or similar air flow measuring device to synchronize throttle plate openings at idle. It's a relative simple procedure, however not something a novice should attempt without the carb adjustment manual present. When finished with basic adjustments, the carbs must be reconnected to the main linkage where the central idle speed adjusting screw will be found. If your car is injected, idle speed should be automatically controlled by an electronic 'Idle Speed Stabilizer'. A photo of the motor, with air cleaner removed, will be helpful in determining what system you actually
have.

HI i have a fuel injected yamaha r1 2008 and as it gets warmer it starts to fast idle and runs iraticly like the choke is on can any body advise?

Hi, Desmond and the usual suspects are:
1. Extremely lean fuel mixture.
2. Dirt, rust, water, or ethanol sludge in the fuel system.
3. Sticky throttle cables.
4. Multiple carburetors not in synchronization.
5. TPS sensor out of adjustment or faulty.
6. Wrong spark plugs for the type of service.
7. Throttle bodies not in synchronization (FI)
8. Faulty O2 sensor.
9. Clogged, stuck, or faulty IAC valve.
10. Aftermarket components not compatible with ECM.

Need to know how to adjust the carburator on 240 E Series Husqvarna chainsaw

There is a special tool required to turn the jet screws pt no. 530035560 the screws are marked L and H you need to turn the L screw only this will adjust the mixture at idle, anto clockwise will increase the mixture, the third screw on the carb is to increase the idle speed once the mixture is correct, this can be adjusted with a cross cut screw driver.

How do I adjust the idle on fuel injection on my 2003 FLHRI ? Without taking it to the dealer.

Find out why it is out and fix the problem which will reset the idle to what it should be. The idle set screw is a special one that requires a special tool to move BECAUSE it should never need to be adjusted as the IAC and the computer set the idle and it it is out of specs it is because something other than the position of the idle set screw is out of whack and needs to be fixed. The base problem may or may not set a DTC dep3ending on what is out of whack BUT it is alwasy a good idea to display any codes if there are any as a strting point to diagnosis.

I have a 16 in 235 Husqvarna chainsaw that starts find and runs for a few minute. then acts as if it is not gettting enough fuel as it starts to bog down while running and will not maintain idle.

It may well just need the carb adjusted, unfortunatley there is a special tool required the adjust the screws, the L screw on the carb may need richening up, so if you manage to get the tool unscrew it by 1/4 out ( anti cliock wise ) tool part no. 530035560

Poulan 2375 will not idle

This sounds like a simple carb adjustment issue, however there is a special tool required to adjust the mixture, part no. 530035560, once you have the tool richen the L scerw on the carb by unscrewing it by 1/4 turn out, before making this adjustment, try just increasing the idle speed screw on the carb, this requires just a normal screw driver, do not increase it to the point ehere the chain is moving on idle.

No fuel caming to injecters

Think you should check the fuel pump and the filter. Fuel pump pressure should be around 3.5 bar with engine at idle. It would be better for you to have this checked at your repair shop as it requires special equipment. Regards Johngee

Gas adjusted wrong

Most chainsaws are built so all the adjustments are easy and basic. A standard flat blade screwdriver should be all you need to address most carb problems. Your problem is more likely the fuel mixture, the ratio between gas and oil. Check your owner's manual and replace your fuel with the proper mix..

How do you adjust fuel injection modual on 2005 road king

Well fuel injection means that the amount of fuel squirted into combustion chamber at firing mode is controlled by your CPU (your programmed bike computer) which can only be modified using a special program normally available to bike service/repair shops only.
So to answer your question, no you can not changed it unless you have a laptop with the required cabling and program to modify it plus you know what you are doing as this area is a high tech knowledge area.
To adjust it you need to take it to the specialist technicians. Good enough and answer your question?
