Hi, Ado4 for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. For more information about your issue please visit the website below. Good luck and have a nice day.

Why is my abs ans ets light on What does it mean

The most probable cause for the ETS (Electronic Traction Control System) light is the ABS light. When there is a problem in the ABS, ETS is disabled.

The ETS uses ABS data to help control the ETS system. You will need to have the ABS computer scanned for codes.

This light usually comes on if you have a failed wheel speed sensor but these vehicles are common for the ABS module to fail causing the same problem. You can back probe the wires comming out of each wheel speed sensor with the wheel lifted in the air and check for ac voltage as you spin the wheel.

What ever sensor does not put out voltage needs to be replaced if they all seeem to work it is likely the ABS module. But before you replace any parts you would want to have the ABS module checked for codes at one of your local shops that has a high end scan tool that can access those codes.

Hope this helps and just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

ABS Light came on in 98 Plymouth Voyager, what could be the problem? And how hard is it to fix?

Whatever sensor does not put out voltage needs to be replaced if they all seeem to work it is likely the ABS module. Stabilitrak remains on once I start driving my GMC Envoy 2009. once i turn of the engine & then switch it on , t he light goes off but the moment i start driving it's lit. could you please let me...

Hello.... The stabilitrak system is controlled by the abs module. Its job is to maintain vehicle stability in situations where you may normally lose control by activating the abs system and/or changing the valving in the shock absorbers. When the message is displayed there is a problem in the system, could be an issue with a sensor or wiring. There are a couple of common problems with the system that require reprogramming the engine control module and the abs module. This must be performed at the dealer. The only way to know exactly what the issue is would be to have the abs computer scanned for trouble codes.
GM issued a couple of tech bulletins in regards to owners having this problem.
I hope this helps.

My anti abs light stays on and i have had two test run and they cant find the problem please help..thank you

There is no reason not to find something, as you have a
hard & present code all the time.

Have you been to a repair shop, not a code scan at parts store?

You need to look at scanner data & if necessary ,component
test Wheel Speed Sensors or other most common cause for
the MIL Lamp (ABS light)

Not finding the problem, is a matter of not having
knowledgeable people trying to do so

Good day, I am experiencing the following problem with my Dodge Journey 2009. The EPS/BAS & ABS lights in the Instrument panel doesn't go off. Thank you in advance. Reuben.

This means theres a problem with one of the systems, the most common that would turn on all these light would be the abs system, if the abs system is not working good then the EPS/BAS cant run correctly, they use readings from the abs system so i would say theres a problem with the abs system like a bad wheel speed sensor but in order to find out the computer will need to be scanned for the codes. A scann tool will be needed for this and the tool is not cheap so i would have a garage scan it. what happens is the computer will see a component out of spec or the reading is not sent and inturn it turns the lights on and stores a code with the reason why. for example the code may be C100A- right front spped sensor.

Abs light comes on. had a person look at it and he feels its the pump. Is this the right direction to go in?

Good chance that the ABS sensor are dirty or the lead wires are corroded. The common ABS sensor that goes bad 95% of the time are the front ABS sensors and there located on the inner wheel hub.
Pull the front wheel off and inspect the ABS sensor on the inside of the wheel hub for any damages and the ABS lead wire to the ABS. Use Brake parts cleaner to spray any dirt that has accumulated on the sensors it self. At worst, your going to have to replace the sensor and that can be picked up at Auto Zone and they will have the instruction for you to get the job done.
Thank you for using fixya and be safe

What part of the motor has the abs sensor.

ABS sensor is located in the wheel bearing, There are wire leads that are common to corrode which would set the ABS light to come on. Best is to have the car scanned with a Tech2 scanner which can indicate which sensor or which ABS part is faulty, if it's the ABS module. The Tech2 scanner can indicate that and save you time and money by having you address the issues, rather then replacing parts that are good.
In the mean time, you can try inspecting thew wire leads and cleaning the ABS sensor on the front wheel hub and the rear wheel hub may be a sealed unit or may have speed sensor rig like the front.

ABS light is constantly on this happened after I went through some snow I had also the (((!))) sign flashing, but now it is gone Golf 4, 1.4 16V 1999 Please advise. Thank you so much

that sign is your traction controll kicking in trying to keep the car under controll by applying the brakes to the tire that is spinning it can engage the ABS too your ABS controller is more than likely damaged and needs replaced it is a common problem with VW ABS systems.
