My wr426 is now a wr444 and I love it! Had it bored and new piston and might as well add the automatic decompression cam which is a must in my book.

My MF135 Tractor has developed a leak round the bottom pulley. New gasket fitted round the timing gear but leak persists round crankshaft gear/pulley. How can I fix this?

Replace oil seal, check if pulley has grooves worn by the old seal. If it has resleeve with a resleeve kit from auto spares shop. Refit new oil seal & resleeved pulley.

Does all 2 stroke barrels need sleeves for bigger piston

yes , resleeving is required for overstock size pistons.
sometimes you can bore the sleeve 1 - 2 time before resleeving is required.
when you go to order your pistons, the product description will tell you if resleeving is required.
Hope this helps you out.

Excessive carbon on spark plugs which causes to fail

carbon on sparkplugs are caused by oil in the combustion chamber.

here are some things to do:
1. replace the sparkplug
2. replace your head gasket
3. check if your ignition timing is correct (timing in the distributor, camshaft, and crankshaft)

if these does not solve your problem, try this:
1. have your cylinder head checked for leaks/cracks
2. replace your piston rings

lastly, if all of these dont work, this is the solution (but quite pricey)
1. have your head rebored. reboring the cylinder head means making your combustion chamber wider so cracks/leaks on the wall will be removed.
2. after rebore.. you have 2 options: resleeve or replace piston rings. Resleeve means inserting sleeves in the bored chamber to replace the removed part. replacing pistong rings is also an alternative since your old one will not fit anymore ot the rebored head.

Is there a coating on cylinder of my 01 kx 250 that wears off to make the cylinder usless

Yes, that is a plated cylinder so if it galls, or wears out, it cannot be bored out you have to put a new sleeve in it. The new sleeve will be able to be bored out so it will last for a long time. The resleeving is best left to a cycle shop or machine shop with the propper equipment, as it is an interfearence fit and the cylinder must be bored perfectly, then heated in an oven to be able to install the new sleeve.
