Remove the small bolt at the back of the passenger seat, and slide the the entire seat assembly back to release it from the hook-like bracket that secures it to the fender.

Why cant I find a windshield and seat for my Kawasaki Vulcan classic 400cc on most sites e.g eBay and amazon? what other Kawasaki Vulcan windshield and seat can fit on my 400cc Vulcan classic?

Hi, Boniface for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. After removing rear bolt that screws into the fender apply pressure down to the passenger part of the seat, at same time push the seat toward the back , Also, put a cloth on the fender where the bolt hole is this keeps from scratching .
