If you look on the front of the motor you will see the oil filter cover on the right side and the water pump cover on the left side. Below the cover attached to the water hose (held on by two bolts) is a bolt with a copper washer under it. That is the antifreeze drain bolt for the motorcycle.

You need to bleed the air from the cooling system. The bleeder valve is located just behind the water pump housing. It is a small hex head (7MM) screwed into the coolant bypass tube. Pour coolant into radiator with the valve opened until coolant comes out of the valve. The cooling fans will not come on until the temperature reaches 225 degrees.

Brand new mini fridge was on it's side before being set up. Plugged in too soon. Now it won't start cooling. Are we out of luck?

It could be that liquid coolant got into the low-pressure part of the cooling system when it was on its side, and is preventing the expansion valve from doing its job converting high-pressure liquid coolant to gas. My recommendation is to unplug it, wait the 24 hours, and plug it back in. Excess fluid should have drained to the bottom of the cooling system by then, and normal cooling can begin.

I need to know how much liquid my radiator holds for my 1995 Oldsmobile Achieva?

the rad holds about 1.5 gallons...but if u changed the rad u will need around 3 gallons since the coolant in the engine has also drained out....also open the bleeder valves for the cooling system before filling...these valves r located on the thermostat housing an on top of the water pump outlet pipe...they r brass in color an u will need a 7mm socket on a straight slot screwdrive to open them....u need to open them to allow the air to escape when fill or u can have the system air bound an the engine will over heat an cause damage the the cylinder heads....when coolant runs out of them at a steady stream close them an start the not open them when engine is running....but some cars only have 1 bleeder

My gigabyte problem is. I put the blue liquid and the red light continues beeping even the liquid is full. I don't know what to do...

Here's a link to YouTube video of the Gigabyte 3D Galaxy II.
Most of the installation problem are on valve 1 and valve 2.
The red light condition is cause by air pocket and un-able to prime coolant.

Check the video instruction and purge the air pocket out of the lines.
HAVE paper and cotton towel ready!
It can be messy.

I own a 1985 300zx Turbo?.I like to know why my

Your overflow tank works on suction to return coolant to the radiator. Check the line and nipple ends for any cracking (cracking on the plastic radiator nippl is very commom). The radiator nipple is not under high prrssure like the fluid under the cap (inside the coolant system). It's on the otherside of the cap and will never "stream or gush" coolant (uless you are over heating badly). As the coolant in the radiator cools it creates a vacuum and draws coolant back from the overflow throgh a small hose. You might not see any leaks as coolant heats up and travels to the overflow. It might be a very small leak and you are usaully driving around and drying up before you see it. Even with a very small crack it will only draw in air and not liquid (as liquid is way heavier than air). Also, I've seen where people have taken out (or fallen out) the tube attached to the overflow cap that goes down deep into the overflow tank. That tube should be long enough to almost reach the bottom of the tank. It's hard to know if something is missing if you do not know it was suppose to be there in th first place but it needs to be there.

My olds is constantly overheating even though i changed the thermostat do i have to now change the head gasket?

things to check
1 coolant level is FULL
2 is the temp. gauge jerky when it moves if so you have air in the cooling system
3 check make sure the COOLING FANS ARE WORKING
4 remove the PCV VALVE front valve cover and see if there is a WHITE ISH COLORED GOO ON IT if so the INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET IS THE LIKELY CAUSE
5 if all that is good then jack up the vehicle and slide under and look at the BACK CYLINDER HEAD SEE IF THERE IS COOLANT LEAKING OR COOLANT STAINS if so then the HEAD GASKET IS THE CAUSE
hope this was help full
good luck

Have a minor "fluid leak and dont know how to check the coolant

The 1984 Honda VT500 does have a liquid cooled engine. As for the fluid leak near the top of the cylinder head, it is most likely an engine oil leak coming from the valve cover gasket. Each valve cover uses a rubber gasket as well as rubber seals around each of the bolts that secure the cover to the head. Replacing these should cure the leak.

As for the temperature issue, anything within the white area of the temp gauge is considered normal. Just make sure that the radiator of full of coolant and the plastic coolant overflow bottle is filled to about the half-way mark. Use a 50/50 mix of coolant for aluminum block engines and distilled water.

The lack of power could be from plugged up carburetors (has the bike been sitting for a long period of time?). This bike also has a vacuum operated fuel petcock. Make sure the vacuum running to it is not cracked. Try smoothing the burr that you mentioned with some fine sandpaper - and by all means, make it fuel tight!

There is no published top speed for this Honda - but it should be able to reach about 90MPH on flat ground.
