Remove wheels calipers and rotors, remove rear cover and drain oil from diff, remove abs sensors if it has abs, remove axle shafts, this is done by removing the 8mm bolt holding the pin, slide pin out push axle in to remove c clip holding axle then slide out, do the same to other side, note dont spin diff or gears will fall out, dissconect driveshaft, next remove axle vent and unbolt brake hose from axle, leaving brake lines connected unclip them from axle housing, next support diff with jack, dissconect lower shock bolts and slide shocks to side, remove upper control arm bolts from diff, slowly lower diff to release spring tension now remove springs and remove lower arm bolts. lower diff and take out. reverse to install. hope this helps.

I have a wobbling back end seat leon 1.9 tdi 2008 plate

wobbling from the rear end can be from worn suspension rubbers in the control arms. Normally it is from belt separation in the tyres and bulges in the side walls
I take it that it is a front wheel drive with no diff action at the rear.
another point may be that the rear brakes are grabbing ( out of round drums or warped discs) that is causing the vehicle to react as if the rear is loose.

There is a clanging noise when i put it in gear and can hear it while driving is it the rear end or universal joint

Check rear-end fluid level and play in rear pinion gear.
Check universal joints for play. If play is in pinion gear change rear end fluid and add a full bottle of LUCAS oil stabilizer, will quiet rear end noise.

Want to change a leaky seal on a axle shaft on

take off the housing cover in the middle of the rear end and to each side there is a retainer clip for each side. Pull it out and that side comes out. I don't think you needed to remove the rear end to do this though.

1990 d150 needs rear end.

I would stick to using a Dodge rear end as there may be sensors and other connecting items that may not be the same between major brands.....Someone at the salvage yard should be able to tell you what years would interchange with the 1990 you have. I would change out the whole rear end as it is relatively easy once you get the leaf spring hanger bolts undone.

1999 GMC SAFARI VAN REAR END HUMMING

This rear end needs to be replace or re-built

This rear end needs to be replaced or re-built. The gears and or bearings are worn/shot. May be able to get a complete rear end from a Junk yard for much less, one in good condition. Good Luck
