As I do not own one of these bikes, I cannot advise from experience. I do know however the book will tell you. If you don't want to spring for the cost of a service manual, what I do is go to my dealer and they burn me a copy onto cd for $20. The only other thing you can do to verify it is look for an engraved arrow on the knob. If there is no arrow on it to show you where you are pointing, you are going to have to either ask someone that owns one like it, or ask your dealer. Personally, I would get the CD though as it will answer this and future questions regarding function and system requirements.

My Honda Accord latch is broken. I can not open the gas tank door and the trunk won't close. It has to be a problem in the latch because it controls both gas tank door and trunk door

emergency release should be in the trunk as for the closing of the trunk, you need to disconnect the cable at the trunk latch until you can get it fixed

I Have a genesis grill from 2008. I can not get enough heat to sear a steak correctly. I was informed to close the grill when cooking, however the meat cooks at the top as well as the bottom. The end...

Have you checked the flame heights when turned to HIGH, on all the main burners. If they're low, then that's the problem. Which can be caused by several things: Burners need cleaning. The Venturi valves are clogged. The grill's regulator is partially closed.

I'm pretty sure you know how to solve the first to causes. So, I'll only deal with the third one.

Turn the propane tank valve OFF. Disconnect the hose from the tank and wait 5 minutes. Then reconnect the hose to the tank and turn the tank valve ON VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). Once the valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and turn it to HIGH. Does the flame height look correct? If so, light the remaining burners the same way and check their flame height. Do all of them look correct? If so, you solved the problem. Remember to always turn the tank valve ON very, very slowly.

If that didn't solve the problem your need to replace your hose/regulator assembly. You can get one at any home center or hardware store that sells gas grills and accessories. Take you old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

Need to know how to reset the LP Gas flow for a Webber 300 BBQ

If you just installed a new, full tank of propane and turned it on and the burners wouldn't light.

Turn the tank off, disconnect from the grill hose (you'l hear a whooshing sound and smell gas, but that's alright). Wait several minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Turn the gas valve on very very slowly, until it's full open. Now, try lighting your grill.

Remember, you will need to turn the tank valve on very very slowly every time you change tanks or turn the tank off after grilling.

What happened was this ... When you turned the tank on quickly it locked up the grill's gas regulator. Doing what suggested usually solves the problem. Oh, one other thing ... be sure your tank is not empty. The grill you have uses a lot of gas.

Gas not coming out enough; flame not catching on to other burners

Problem: Low flames on grill, tank is full.

Cause: These newer tanks have a device inside that limits the flow of gas to prevent leaking or accidental discharge of gas from the cylinder. The leak detector mechanism inside the tank shuts off the gas whenever the valve is opened rapidly.

Close the tank valve and remove the tank. Check the gas line for ANY object that could cause blockage. Open all valves on the grill to eliminate any pressure whatsoever. Close all valves and reattach tank. SLOWLY open the tank not over 2 turns. Check for leaks. I just open my tank a tiny bit but that is just me.

This late model gas grill service manual has more details on page 13.

Our grill doesnt seem to be getting enough gas to stay lit. when you turn the burners on your hear the gas coming through for 2 seconds..then nothing, and it wont stay lit

How are you turning the grill on and off? It sounds like a vapor-lock. Try this: first unhook the regulator and crack the valve on the tank open...if you hear and smell gas coming out, good, close the valve and re-connect the regulator then open the gas valve then turn the burner on and light it...then shut it off by closing the tank valve first and let the burners go out then turn off your burner valves...try that and let me know what happens.

I had one gas door solenoid replaced under warranty. Since then I have just shot a bit of WD40 onto the post comng from the solenoid that holds the door closed. Do this at each oil change and the problems should stop.
