Make sure your leak is from the "door" / bearing housing and not from the chrome end cover. Check the tightness / torque of the cover and door fasteners. Pulling the bearing housing "door" can be a complicated process without specialty tools and proper training.

Will not shift out first gear

I assume this is an automatic?
If the shift linkage is not damaged (jammed or disconnected the usual answer is the governer valve in the transmission is sticking.
The fix for this normally involves pulling the trans out stripping it apart cleaning the governer valve new seals gaskets and reassembling.
(translated lots of money) try using a auto trans flush to clean all the gunk out of the transmission. Run the trans through all the gears with the trans flush and try driving it (only short distance test drive as its not proper trans fluid) see if you can get it out of first gear (flatten the gas pedal and let the engine go to max revs on short bursts) once it shifts once or twice go back and remove the trans flush fluid and replace with correct specification auto trans fluid I would also change the transmission filter at this point if it was mine .

Can I replace the freezer door seal on a kitchen aid myself?

some door gaskets snap into a track and others are held on to by screws in a metal frame. you can pull the back of the gasket apart to see which you have.

are you sure that the gasket is bad? you can do the dollar bill test by placing a dollar bill between the gasket and door frame and shutting the door. if the dollar bill fits snugly and is not loose the gasket is good. However you may be able to look at your gasket and see that it is torn or warped and not sealing good.

replacing the door gasket can be a little tricky but with a little patience and some very hot water to soak the new gasket in to make it easier to work with, you should be ok.

keep the bottom of your refrigerator and freezer frames clean (this is where everything spills and gets sticky) to keep the gasket from sticking to the frame and tearing up over time.

My trans has started pouring oil from the top side i cant see where but top and driver side is soaked with oil. What is up there that would allow this? can the shift boot be letting oil sling out from...

not shift boot exactly but if you remoive the shifter bolt from the floor to see top of trans and check for a loose or missing bolt and possibly replace shifter tower gasket.

I needs to replace my refrigator door gasket. I need a manual with pictorial diagram and with details on how to remove and install the gasket.

open door and pull on inside of gasket to expose screws or 1/4 nuts.. loosen[do NOT remove] all screws and pull old gasket out. place new gasket in sink of hot water to soften it and put back around door. snug up a couple of screws on each side and test seal by shutting door..you may need to adjust inner panel until just right..then tighten all screws

98 chevy k1500 has a hard time changing gears. revs high before change. Speedo dont work and abs light on.

TRY CHANGING THE TRANSMISSION FILTER AND FLUID. THIS CAN BE ACHIEVED BY TAKING THE TRANS PAN OFF AND PULLING DOWN ON THE TRANS FILTER MAKING SURE THE RUBBER GROMMET ON THE OUTLET SIDE OF THE FILTER IS REPLACED AS WELL. THE KIT AT THE AUTO PARTS STORE SHOULD INCLUDE THE GROMMET, FILTER AND NEW GASKET FOR THE PAN. HOPE THIS HELPS. KEEP ME POSTED PLEASE. THANK YOU FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK
