Question about 2002 Harley Davidson FLHRCI Road King Classic
It's either fuel or electric, so change the spark plugs first. That is the most common item to go bad. Then the plug wires. If that doesn't fix the problem try a good brand of fuel injection cleaner and add some gas line dryer like isopropyl alcohol that comes in the red bottles. You might have got a bad batch of gasoline. That happened to me once 500 miles from home. The isopropyl will break up any water so it can't go through in amounts large enough to make it run rough. Seriously. If you always buy the high octane fuel, sometimes you get water in it because few people use it in their cars. If the temperature swings from warm to cold frequently that cold gas in the ground will draw moisture just like a cold glass of lemonade does.
After my first experience I will add the isopropyl as soon as I sense bad fuel.
If that doesn't fix it, you probably have a problem with the engine management system. Which means a trip to the dealer.

its hard to say, but did you make sure that all the old gasket came off before you put the new one on?? mabye the new gasket got a kink in it somewhere or it was not lined up properly.. but what you probally want to do istake the cover back off get another new gasket and use a little bit of gasket sealer with the gasket.. and when you tighten the bolts down dont go in a circle put one in each corner firstto get the gasket lined up then put the rest in all at finger tight..
when tightening you want to go in a pattern of corner to corner.. when you have the cover off inspect it for cracks on the bottom side, that is real soft mettal..
hope I could help
