Pull the engine out of the frame. Remove the top end. Remove left and right side case covers. Remove the clutch, crank drive gear, shift shaft assembly, kick start assembly, water pump, rotor, stator base assembly, sprocket and miscellaneous other small items. Remove all case screws then split the case halves using a case splitter tool. Be sure to install new crank bearings and seals. You can see an exploded diagram of the engine at the following website. Please rate my answer, thanks.

Crank set replacement. Trying to replace the crankset due to a stripped crank arm. What crank is compadible to replace it with?

The only guarantee for an exact match width-wise is to use the same make and model of the crank you're replacing. A change in the given bottom bracket and crankset pairing will almost always yield some difference. Bike shops seem to have a way of determining a starting point for it but my own experience with them is that trial and error plays into it. If you change crank brands you may have to also change the length of the BB to get the same effective pedal dimensions.

If I need a oil change will my car crank?

That all depends on how far overdue your car is for an oil change! If it is so badly overdue for an oil change that the engine has seized-up, it won't crank. If it is just due (or overdue) for an oil change and no engine damage has occurred yet, it will not have any effect on whether the engine cranks.

1997 Ford Taurus 3.0 2v. Check engine light came on (did not change in the way the car drove) and Autozone diagnostic pointed to cam sensor, but the tech there was thinking crank sensor when he showed me...

try getting a crank sensor from ford also use sandpaper and clean the mounting area of the crank sensor screws, and check all your fuses it is possible that one might have popped while you were prying off sensor none are marked that is why you have to check them all. if you end up changing you cam sensor it is recommended you change the synchronizer gear under the sensor you can purchase both as a kit for about 5o dollars.because if you don't you will soon hear a loud squeal from the gear causing you to go back to that area again.
