What was it you were actually doing?

Your best hope is to go to or phone your nearest suzuki dealer so you get the EXACT sized one or really good auto parts centre/. friend.

Both Ebay uk and USA seem to only have the Land Rover ones.

If the shaft has a groove on both sides of fifth gear, then you may be missing a circlip.

How to change a clutch on a stihl fs108 brush cutter?

The clutch drum is held in place by a circlip on the opposite side of the clutch housing to the motor. To undo the circlip you need long, straight expanding circlip pliers that are thin enough to go down the side of the shaft drive housing (where the square end of the shaft goes in) and the clutch housing. Get the two points of the pliers into the two holes on the circlip then squeeze the pliers to expand the circlip and bring it up the clutch drum shaft until you can remove it. It can be a fiddly job so patience is needed!. Once you have the circlip off the clutch drum the drum will pull out through the motor side of the clutch housing. Replacement is the reverse process but make sure the circlip is properly seated in the groove.

Line the outer up in the right place and enter it until the circlip is against the splines . Use a large heavy hammer and rap the end of the shaft hard and the circlip will pop in the groove and allow the shaft to go home.. Removal from the shaft is much the same as it has a circlip inside the transmission. So remove the shaft from the wheel. Use a hammer to hit the cv joint so that it jumps the shaft out of the transmission .

Proper procedure would be specific to your Mazda. But, in general: 1) Loosen big axle nut with car on ground. 2)Place car front on jack stands, remove wheel. 3) Remove ball-joint from lower control arm to knuckle. 4) Remove tie rod end from knuckle. Knuckle and spindle assembly should now be free, only except hanging off of strut.5)Remove big axle nut and push axle out of knuckle. If it's stuck, try a solid piece of wood on end of axle, and a sharp hammer blow should free it. If that don't work, get a 2-jaw puller to remove axle from knuckle. Swing knuckle out and remove your half-shaft. May need to pry it from transmission, as may be held in by a small circlip. Careful you don't overextend the CV joints or they'll come apart. A big screwdriver between CV housing and transmission case should pry it out. When putting it back in (if there is a circlip on the transmission end) you need to hear it click or snap to verify circlip is seated. 6) Replace seal, and now you can put it back together. Tighten all removed nuts and bolts back to their proper torque. The big axle nut will take a lot of tightening-about 150-180 ft.lbs., so do that after car is back on ground. Done! One thing I forgot to mention: when you remove axle from transmission, fluid will come out, so have a drain pan ready. And top off transmission with proper fluid or gear oil when finished. Good luck. As said, procedure would be specific for your car, so I'm not positive you need to remove tie rod from knuckle.

You remove the three hex drive bolts on the bottom. This will allow the bottom plate to drop off. Then clean out the glue in the little groove in the middle of what looks like a thick washer. There is a tiny circlip on the shaft which you remove very carefully. The thick washer, a spring washer and flat washer are then removed along with two metal concave parts. Note carefully the order in which the parts are around the shaft. You have to carefully pry off the plastic part right below the bearings. That part is pressed onto the shaft which is ribbed to hold it in place. Once you get the bearings back in place you press the plastic bottom back on. I had to use a vice grip to hold the shaft and needle nose pliers placed against the plastic like you holding the shaft then tapped the pliers to push the plastic onto the shaft holding the shaft up with the vice grips. Put the rest of the parts back together and put the circlip back in place. Be careful when placing the circlip. Mine wasn't all the way on and popped off. Now I can't find it. Once you get the circlip back on use some shoe goo or similar material to lock the circlip into the groove on the thick washer. Let it dry and reinstall the the bottom with the hex drive bolts.

How do you remove axle shafts from transaxle on a 99 chevy cavalier is there a clip that needs removed first?

Put a prybar between the shaft and the transmission and try to pop it out, it has a circlip holding it in. You don't remove the clip, it compresses when the shaft pops out.
