2001 hayabusa 1300 my starter spins gear but won't crank over what could be the reason any help

Hi, Adrian the starter drive/Bendix/clutch is a mechanical gear driven component that engages the clutch pack ring gear to turn over the engine. It has an internal mechanism that allows the gear to turn in one direction and once the engine starts allows the drive gear to free spin. If gear free spins in both directions then the drive gear has failed, it is not serviceable and needs to be replaced.

Hi i have a 2006 hayabusa with a gear problem when in six gear and over fifty mph it jumps out of gear and starts grinding what could it be

Hi, Neil and the usual suspects are:
1. Shifter pawl improperly adjusted.
2. Shifter drum improperly adjusted or damaged.
3. Shifter engaging parts/dogs badly worn or rounded.
4. Shifter forks bent.
5. Damaged gears.

Try checking the gearbox oil level and adjust the chain.

How do I clear c31 code on 2006 hayabusa

Most likely, you have oil from the chain in the connections, shorting out your gear position sensor. Just remove the sprocket cover and clean all of your connections. Sould solve your problem. By the way, sever cases of oil contamination in the connections in that area have been known to cause your entire intrument cluster to stop working.

surely the bike is fuel injected, which might mean the fuel pump is playing up , which could be a pressure sensor in the system, you might need to get the computor scanned to see whats faulty

Chatter feeling when under acceleration

Not sure what problem is but my 97 does the same thing it has a rattle or chatter at low throttle and deceleration. Did you ever figure out what the problem was?

Flasher unit chatters when applying brakes

What you might be hearing is the solenoid that allows you to put your blazer in gear. It has a switch that is on the brake pedal, and that is why you can't put your blazer in gear without stepping on the brakes. If the brake switch is getting intermittent, you can get that sort of chatter out of it.
