If it has been changed and I assume with a new gasket, there may be some damage to the thread, stripped or cross threaded.

Some mechanics will know of oversize sump plugs to fix this, or a thread insert is another option.
Dont try a quick fix with thread tape or anything else, cause if it comes out while your riding, it can cause some engine damage, or get oil on your tyre and crash.

Today when I was out on my 08 Hayabusa, the clocks "switched off" and wouldn't come back - headlight was working but turn signals, rear light and brake light have failed. Can anyone help?

Hi, Anonymous for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Suzuki, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. I own a 2004 F150 I'm constantly having to add Freon because it starts to blow warm air after a couple of months, although, it shows there is enough Freon in the system. It has been in the shop twice and...

Have you ever considered that you needed not to
add once, because you have a leak to repair

When you add stop leak, you ruin the system
& can't get it out

That shop you go to has less experience than your
neighbor who doesn't work on vehicles

Really sad I would say

Can't find a leak with all the test
equip & various methods to do so
that is avail today

These shops get trade publications sent
free every month on how to do all sorts of
vehicle diagnoses & repairs,so they don't
read them or share with their employees !! ?

Too many butchers out there that need a career change

You can use your a/c manifold gauge set, leak detection
dye, various leaker testers, pressurize the system with nitrogen
to 200 lbs & leak test,use electronic ears, & more,silly really

Anyone who has vehicle experience with a/c knows where
the most common leaks ocur, you need a different shop

I thought you were just adding yourself

How about the evaporator core under the dash leaking
or the expansion valve o-rings or compressor seals or
the Hi & Lo test port valves

I guess that would be too hard to check out so forget that

Need to find a shop that has their act together

You could buy the manifold set & the parts, if you know
what leaked & do yourself & just borrow a vacuum pump

Ac unit keeps reading fl or full. every 2-3 hours. auto clean button drains out about 1/4 a gallon of water and then stops draining. turn back on ac & repeat process every 2-3 hours. I have tried...

After reading over the Owner's Manual for your unit, I wonder if you are operating it in the Cool & Dry Mode. If that's the case, the dehumidifier is in operation, which would account for having to drain the unit every 2 to 3 hours. Ideally, the Cool and Dry Mode should only be operated for about an hour, when the unit is first started . Removing the humidity will allow the AC function to cool more effectively. But, it is not necessary for it to remain in Cool & Dry mode all the time. Because the AC itself unit will remove some humidity too.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the issue of having to drain the unit every 2 to 3 hours

'06 Hayabusa broke down -- FI light came on & bike just died -- can anyone help, what could be the problem?

FI stands for Fuel Injection. The fuel system sensors have detected a problem. It could be anything > a dirty air filter restricting airflow, a plugged injector, an error in fuel mapping, any number of things. Serious problems can trigger the computer to prevent the engine from starting until the problem is fixed. You will need to take the bike to a dealer to have them plug in a code reader. The code reader will tell you exactly what the problem is. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Check plug on front of engine where charging system plugs in. Faulty plug connection possible.
