Question about Yamaha FZ6 Fazer Motorcycles

1 Answer

My son has purchased Yamaha Motor Bike FAZER MODEL from Standard YAMAHA SHOW ROOM BHOPAL on 26-7-10. Veh No. MP 04 MW1609. Cost Rs 80000/- paid in cash.+ Rs 1500 for accessories. 1st free servicing of my veh was not done properly. Since then my veh is not running well. It assumed that my battery have been chaged with old battery or may have changed some original parts and giving problem or it is discharged. My battery is number has been tempered with whitener it means some thing wrong with bad intention has been done/new battery replaced with condemened battery .Neither Service Centre nor Showromm owner is giving proper response in this regard even they dont want to talk to my son. They have also taken Rs 100 for taking veh from my residence. In view of the above you are requested to instruct Service centre/showroom owner to give proper response to my son who is a college student and residing at Bhopal or resolve the issue . If problem is not suitably resolved then matter will be taken to CONSUMDR COURT for return of vehicle and refund of cost of vehicle.

Hi, Principal199 nice novella if you take your bike to a dealer for a specific issue that costs outrageous amounts of money only to have the same problem 2 days later your situation is not unique unfortunately and it is a double edged sword. First, you suffer the emotional stress and frustration of spending all your hard earned "Drachma" and your bike does not get fixed. Second, comes the realization that not only are the technicians incompetent but also the service manager for not doing anything about it, this isn't rocket science, it's a glorified lawn mower engine with extra cylinders and carburetors sometimes. You need to put an end to all the double talk, dancing around the issue, with a "we don't care" attitude, but how you ask, very simple you exercise the "nuclear option" go back to the dealer and ask to speak to the owner or general manager if the owner is not there, then with a straight face and polite voice you ask him/her if they can provide you with the name and contact phone number of the person at your brand motorcycle headquarters in your country that can recommend a repair facility that will fix your bike because your local dealer either can not or will not. I guarantee you that is all the grease you need to get someone to light a fire under the proper persons rear end to resolve your issue "toot sweet" For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the blue links below. Good luck and have a wonderful day.

SOURCE: The electronic part of old tvs fiero , I had

My friend, what is your expectation here? What do you want me to do? Please read through to the end.

The only thing I could possibly recommend is that you complain to the Better Business Bureau in your area, if there is one. They will note your complaint but I doubt they will get your $ back.

I have rarely been to a place that sells this type of product and NOT seen the warning that parts are not returnable.

In the future, purchase your parts through your Suzuki dealer or, have them do the repair. Yea, I know, it costs money. So ... tell me, what do you have to show for your effort at this point except one copy of the wrong part that you can probably never use. Now you have to get the proper part (more money) and hopelully get it in without damaging it. I didn't mention, you are with out your ride this entire time also.

SOURCE: THIS WAS THE LETTER WHICH

I am sorry to say that if I received what appears to be a letter of complaint ending up with a threat, I would ignore it, as if I were Honda, I would have unlimited resources for legal means and you have very limited resources, with all due respect, Honda will win.
Have you claimed on your insurance for a replacement bike?
Have you taken advice from a lawyer?
And finally, Honda carry spares for a minimum of 7 years from end of production, so there will be plenty of engine spare parts available and some bodywork panels.
It was not a mistake to purchase the bike, the mistake was the crash. Was it someone elses fault? Can you make a claim on their insurance for a replacement bike?

Good luck.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
Looks like that the brakes are sticking on the rotor disc when brakes are applied that's why it jams. As a first course of action, I stronly suggest that you ask them to replace the caliper kits and install a new brake pads. This will surely resolve the problem.

Hope you find this helpful and thank you for using FixYa!

4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Tip over sensor needs a reset.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
