Paul,
First check if the front mudguard goes up and down with the wheel or is it fixed and only the wheel goes up and down. Meaning that with a bigger wheel the tyre should not touch the mudguard when it goes over a bump.
Would same axle work or a newer is required. If new, then new holes may be required on the front fork to fit the new axle.
The front brake shoes/disk have to fit the new larger hub. Please ensure.
Spoked or cast does not matter. The choice is yours.

What's the difference between high positive offset and medium offset on wheels for jeeps.

the off set of a wheel is the distance the centre of the rim is set from the face of the hub
it is used when the tyre fitted hits inside the wheel well and more space is needed to facilitate the turning before the wheel fits
IN effect it moves the load on the bearings from the larger inner bearing out towards the smaller outer bearing and that increases the load on the stub axle
medium off may be 1/2 inch out and high off set may be an inch
the gain is a wider track for better stability on slopes
the disadvantage is increased bearing failure , stub axle failure and tyre wear from wheel geometry problems ( wheel alignment)
there is negative off set where the centre of the rim is moved towards the vehicle
rim off set is what you want instead of spacer plates which increase the load on the studs causing them to snap off
Talk with a tyre shop to get the best for what you want

Which tyre best for honda cb shine 80/100-18 tubeless or 3.00-18 tubetype

Hi Nagraj, it all depends on what type of wheel you are running. If your wheel has spokes you must use a tube, if your wheel is cast you can run tubeless. Good luck

I would like to know if i can put 265/65r 17 tyres onto the same rims. The original tyres were 225/65r 17.I removed the spare wheel and on one spoke it has 7j.Is this the rim width?

A 7.5 to 9.5 inch rim width is recommended for a P265/65r tire due to the tread width.
A P245/65r will work ok on the 7 inch rim. I hope this helps.

A spoke on the rear wheel has snapped off how can I repair it?

Simply buy a replacement spoke. Unscrew the dustcap on the tyre valve and deflate the tyres inner tube. Remove tyre using tyre levers(as you do to repair a puncture). Next remove the inner tube to reveal the spoke tensioners. undo the tension nut and allow the broken spoke to fall out, feed the other part of the broken spoke out of the hub. feed the replacement spoke through the hub and into the hole on the wheel rim. Now screw on the tensioning nut to the spoke.Tighten up to the same tension as the other spokes. replace inner tube and tyre, then reinflate. Viola!

What size tires are on 2001 buick century

20021 Buick Century Sedan - Tire Size

If you have the standard factory 15 inch (diameter) x 6.0 inch (wide) wheels then the tires fitted were size: 205/70R15 (205 is the tyre width in mm and the 15 denotes the tyre bead diameter in inches for fitting to 15 inch wheels. The R denotes the speed rating of the tire).

The tires currently fitted to the car have the size moulded into the sidewall of the tire.

However I do not know if aftermarket wheels have been put on the car and if so a different size tire from the standard factory fitment may have been fitted to the wheels.

I hope this helps.

My 1994 civic dx has an ex gage cluster and the speedometer is off by 10-15 mph how would I correct this and keep the gage cluster it says my tire size should be 175 70r13 but I have 185 60r14 which is the...

okay, lets go to basics...1/.175 is the width of the tyre.2/.70 is the profile(that is 70mm from the wheel rim to the road).3/.13 is the width of the wheel rim.
So,you have 185(wider tread)60 (lower profile)14"(bigger wheels).you need to fit 35 profile tyres to get close to the same rolling radius to correct the speedo, the ride will be harder and the tyres are much more expensive, alternatively fit 13" wheels/tyres.
70/13 radius is the same circumferance as 45/14(25mm thinner).
simply put,if you measure the original wheel, road to top of tyre, then measure the ones fitted you are an inch to tall or 3.1/2" more around (approximately)please leave feedback...ta
geoff.

Tire size on my vehicle 225/75/R16 that needs to be replaced. I have access to 235/70/R16, can I put these on?

225 is the width of tread
75 is the profile(thickness of tyre from the wheel to the road)
R is radial(you knew that)
16 is the wheel size it will fit
so ...1cm wider...5mm thinner...
your speedo will read faster by about 2mph...
fit em anyway...

Will the wheels from a 2000 Harley-Davidson FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport fit on a 1999 Harley-Davidson FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport both have dual disc brakes on front?

Check to see if they both have the same diameter axle. Harley went from a 7/8 inch diameter axle to a 1 inch diameter axle sometime around that time period.
