A good quality 10w40 semi-synthetic. Make sure it is designed for motorcycles, car oil contains friction reducers that can make your clutch slip.

Best you can find. Rock Oil if you can. Stay away from the old Magnatek etc etc as I found them to be no better than the 15 quid cheaper Rock Oil. (Slick50 my ninja too! Old thing. )

What type of oil best for 1997 750 honda magna and how much

Your motorcycle comes from Honda usually with 10w-40 mineral base motorcycle oil. You can use any oil that is JASO MA certified motorcycle oil. 10w-40 for cold climate. 20w-50 for warm climate/touring. Car oils use different additives and may cause scoring in certain types of cam bearings. Do not use any oil that says " Energy Conserving " on the label . It will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears. If you choose Synthetic oils, they will help your bike run cooler and shift easier. Shell Rotella T and Rotella T Synthetic 15w-40 are inexpensive JASO MA oils. You will need 4 quarts of oil, an aluminum drain plug washer, and a filter. Pour in 3.4 quarts , run the motor, and check the oil level . Top up as needed.

How many quarts of oil for a 1990 ninja 750 r

If my conversion math is correct it is just under 2 quarts safest way to add or change oil is to stand the bike up straight & check the sight glass if the glass is cloudy & hard to see the oil level checking it will be made easier by shining a strong torch at the glass. Regards Geoff

How to change my oil on a kawasaki ninja 750

Get the bike so it is setting upright.
There a plug on the under side of the motor. Remove the plug and have a catch pan to catch the old oil. The filter will need to be changed also. Do this before you put new oil in. Put the plug back in and open the fill plug on the side of the engine and fill with new motorcycle oil. DO NOT USE OIL FOR CARS!! Watch that you do not over fill it.
