Question about 1990 Yamaha XT 600 E
Check your valve clearances, They should be (cold) 0.07 - 0.12mm intake, and 0.12 - 0.17mm exhaust.
Is muffler clogged or exhaust pipe(s) kinked?
The ignition timing is fixed and the cam timing cannot slip or change unless the camchain has stretched too far for the tensioner to take up the slack and/or there is excessive wear on rocker arms and cam faces.
Valve seats may be worn or pitted.
Does it have good compression?, you will have to turn magneto nut with a 3/4" socket or put bike on a box with rear wheel free and turn over in gear.
