Check your starter button. When pushed in halfway it turns off the headlight. It is probably dirty or broken.

If your headlight has a relay, yes it could be the culprit. I often wonder if relays are put on the bikes just to create an expensive dealer fix. Try opening up the starter switch any way just to eliminate the possibility that it is just a piece of dirt in the two position button.

SOURCE: changing headlight

Had a similar problem on mine when I installed the cobra light bar. If you remove the headlight from the housing there is a connector (think it was orange) with a single wire. It is the starter-light cutout. my connector shorted out so I had to cut it and replace it. No headlight problems since. It is worth checking, I had to pay $50 to have the Honda shop find it. Good luck & ride safe!

I've just changed every single fuse on my Wr125r and bike started up fine I weren't sure what the problem could of been at first I noticed headlight blown I changed it fuse blown again

Hi, Peter if your headlight is not working, only one beam works, keeps burning out, blinking, or is dim the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, then check your head light bulb socket ground wire for a clean tight connection, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn down solder contacts or loose fit of the bulb base in the socket due to vibration.
3. Worn, chaffed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
4. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
5. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
8. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
9. Weak charging alternator/generator.
10. Faulty voltage regulator/rectifier ground or overcharging.

I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS, low beam headlights do not work. I have changed the headlight relay, headlight switch, checked all fuses, checked all bulbs, and cleaned the ground wires. What next?

As you can see from the diagram, the orange wire is voltage and fuse protected. The fuse circuit is hot all the time. Not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage.

Both headlights out 1975 Chevy van Lark

Possibly 2 blown bulbs, if they are ok then check with a test light to see if there is power to the plug that connects to the bulbs by disconnecting the plug from the bulbs, turn the headlight switch on and then check for power, if no power there then check the fuse for the headlights, if the fuse is ok then it is possibly in the headlight switch.
Hope this helps with sorting out the problem.

Tail lights not operating. All other lights work. bulbs good. no blown fuses. 2004 trailblazer LS

If the tail light fuse is good, I would check the headlight switch for power on that circuit.
