2001 Harley Davidson FXDWG Dyna Wide Glide alarm TSSM not working properly @

I just installed a Harley alarm TSSM on my 2001 wide glide. It just simply plugged in where the TSM was. Everything is working good except the system will not go into the manual disarm mode. I follow the directions, the system is armed, turn the switch to ACC. , stop/run switch on the stop, and when you turn the switch to ACC, press both turn signal switches at the same time and the alarm indicator lamp should start flashing very rapidly. Then you punch in your code with the signal switches. My system will not allow me to get into this mode. When I press both turn signal switches the lamp does not start flashing rapidly. It blinks as normal and then the alarm goes off. Is the TSSM defective or is there another step I need to do? I have put my code in and have done the steps to check that the code is entered. I have had this module only 1 week and I am planning on contacting the dealer for exchange if I cannot get it to work.

Hi, Troscoe19 for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs -fluid capacities and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can not find the best tool you ever bought for your Harley, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

SOURCE: 2003 Wideglide check engine light (bad TSSM?)

I would not replace anthing yet! An intermittent light could mean that you simply have a wiring short! Get someone to help by watching your engine light, start your bike and do a wriggle test oun your wiring harness. You may find it to be no more than a simple wiring problem at the connector. You said there are no stored codes and the bike is running fine? No missing of sputtering? If not I would think the problen is no more than a possible temporary short in the wiring at the sensors
