If it stops again when parked like this then remove the tank cap and try again to start as for the door locks then i never lock a car whilst driving ,after trying to get some kids out of burning car that was in a motorway crash and got forced back as the petrol went up and the doors were locked .Not something i want to do again
I meant locking while leaving the vehicle parked. Since the car is old i was worried that fob would stop working and unless I could maunally lock car it would be left open to theft of anything inside. point taken of the burning incident though
right now you have described the problem then its easly cured ,take the door panel off and where the key lock part is then their could be a link bar come adrift where the plastic retaining clip has gone brittle with age and broke .So i think this can easly be fixed with a paper clip to hold the link bar on or a bit of copper single strand wire ,its amazing what you can do if you put your mind to it

Yes it's likely the fuel pump. If that was the first time the filter was changed and it really needed it, it usually causes the pump to fail. It's in the gas tank.
