if you mean the actual headlight glass they dont come off as are sealed beam units and probably not dirty they are blemished inside by u/v light from use over the years change the whole head light search online for a good deal cheaper than dealers etc
Are you talking about a light lens? That's my best guess without any kind of description.
Rear lens I'm guessing again, only because front lenses often have a whole in them to allow evaporation of water moisture.
Rear light lenses can usually be removed from the inside of the car by disconnecting their wiring and removing their location nuts.
Lenses once dried out thoroughly can sometimes be resealed with a silicone based sealant around the edges where the lens meets the unit's main body. Depending on the vehicle however, a replacement lens may sometimes be around the same cost as a tube of sealant. Prices vary wildly for lenses however, so get a price before you start.
Well its not a sealed beam unit it has a bulb. You can get to the bulb from the rear of the headlamp unit, you may have to remove the battery first to get to it. If you do need to remove the headlamp you will need to remove the grille then locate the bolts that hold the headlamp in.
Seal unit can not be open or assembly will not be seal, if it needs to be clean it's not seal, also if trying to open more then likely lens will crack, best thing to do to clean it some what is go through the back side where the bulb goes in, with a long screw driver and a rag.
drop the tail gate and there are screws where the gate was and if i remember correctly they are torx screws and u just pull straight out the whole cover cause it's clipped into place. when u have the whole tail lamp in your hands unplug the power connecter then use a phillips and unscrew the housing and replace the bulbs. The bulbs are a real pain in the *** cause they have that small little metal piece that breaks all the fricken time. well it does for me anyways. good luck
Junk yard and they may only sell the Whole Unit Only.
I believe the Unit is a Sealed unit. I would advise the Entire Unit Be Replaced as Its sealed and Moisture will have you Buying bulbs by the Case.
Hi, the moisture in the headlight units is most likely caused due to a failure in one of the rubber seals where the bulbs push through into the headlight unit.
Have a check to see if the bulbs are seated properly, they are normally
held in place by metal clips, sorry I'm not familiar with this
particular model so can't give specific advice. If the seals are ok, could be that the moisture managed to get in somehow, and now is sealed in the unit.
To get the moisture out, you'll need to remove the bulbs from the headlight unit so that the moisture can evaporate out and then re-fit the bulbs to seal the unit again.
There should be two screws on the inside edge of the assembly, one next to top lense and one next to bottom lense. This removes entire assembly not just cover. these are sealed units.
