1998 Suzuki VS 800 Intruder stalls when put into gear


Hi, Brandon great talking to you on "6ya" hope everything works out I have added some VS800 links just in case it's not a VL800 and the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty wiring to any safety switch.
2. Safety switches loose at the mounting point.
3. Faulty kickstand safety switch.
4. Failed kickstand safety switch circuit diode.
5. Stretched side stand spring.
6. Side stand not coming up far enough to disengage switch.
7. Faulty clutch lever safety switch.
8. Faulty neutral safety switch.
9. Clutch not properly adjusted.
10. Clutch plates sticking, forward lurch

Cooling fan dont work


If you let the bike sit and idle for about ten minutes and the cooling fan doesn't come on, it usually means your radiator fluid is low. The sensor to turn on the fan sits at the top of the radiator. chances are no. but you would have to check next to each other to make sure. bearing size and stroke are probably different

What kind and how many quarts of oil for my 1998 intruder 800


If changing the oil and filter it will take 3 qts. Changing just the oil will take 2.5 qts. Use SAE 10/40, API SF or SG. John

My bike makes starting noise but it won't turn


if you hear a spinning noise then the starter needs replaced, aclicking noise means u need a battery.

Hi i oppened the clutch to check the plates and now the hydraulic clutch on my vs800gl intruder is not working at all. what did i do wrong??????????????


if you put everything back where it goes,you will need to bleed the clutch slave cylnder,keep the reservoir full as you bleed air and old fluid out.
