If bike has been sitting the pump may be locked up, also check the fuse for the fuel pump or the igntition to make sure it is good. check the voltage on the wires going to the fuel pump panel if you have power there for 5 seconds when you turn on key the pump is mosy likely the problem. Brian

Do I have to prime a 1530 John deer tractor after i replaced the fuel pump?

Yes, use instructions for bleeding after a filter change. See attached.

If primer lever stroke action seems short, bump the starter so the pump cam rotates away from the pump.

Fuel pump not priming cbr 1000 rr 2004 fuel pump seems to be fine

If your fuel pump is not priming on your 2004 Honda CBR 1000RR, there are a few things that you can check to diagnose and potentially fix the issue:
  1. Check the fuel pump fuse: Locate the fuel pump fuse in the fuse box and check if it's blown. If it is, replace it with a new one and see if the fuel pump primes.
  2. Check the fuel pump relay: The fuel pump relay is another common culprit of fuel pump issues. Locate the fuel pump relay in the fuse box and check if it's working properly. You can do this by swapping it with a known working relay, such as the horn relay, and seeing if the fuel pump primes.
  3. Check the fuel pump connectors: Make sure that the electrical connectors for the fuel pump are securely connected and free from corrosion. Use a multimeter to check for continuity between the fuel pump and the battery to see if there is an issue with the wiring.
  4. Check the fuel pressure regulator: If the fuel pressure regulator is malfunctioning, it can cause the fuel pump not to prime. Check the fuel pressure regulator to see if it's working correctly.
  5. Check the tip-over sensor: The tip-over sensor is designed to shut off the fuel pump in the event of an accident. Check the tip-over sensor to see if it's working properly.
If none of these steps help solve the problem, then it's possible that the fuel pump itself is faulty and may need to be replaced.

2007 gmc 5500 shutdown for no reason.

Reinstall the fuel filter after you clean out the fuel lines. Sounds like something is trapped in the line causing a blockage.

Will Vaseline lock the engine if you prime the fuel pump with it on a 2007 grand prix

There is no need to prime the pump with anything on a 2007 Grand Prix. The pump is submerged in the fuel tank and will push fuel to the engine without priming.

Car has been sitting up and will not start now. It seems to not be getting gas and I do not know how to prime a fuel injection system. Any help appreciated.

There is only a few cars fitted with an ancient petrol injection system that needed any priming.

Diesel engines mostly need the injection system priming but petrol injection systems do not.

Lots of cars use a system where the fuel pump runs for a couple of seconds when the ignition is switched on and that is all the time it takes to prime the fuel system. After a couple of seconds the fuel pump switches off and waits to restart when the engine is cranked.

As priming the system takes only a couple of seconds some manufacturers don't bother with the brief priming run of the pump and just have the pump start when cranking.

Could be faulty supply, fuse, pump relay or the pump itself.
If the car is fitted with an immobiliser, perhaps that is the problem.

When my fuel pump didn't turn on, my truck wouldn't start, if it did turn on it started right up. I replaced the fuel pump and it starts every time, but the fuel pump doesn't turn on every time. Is...

the fuel pump don't turn on every time . first when the pump as prime or if system is prime the pump will not turn on
the PCM give a ground to fuel pump relay for 2 sec and while the engine is cranking the pump is running all the time.

12ht wont prime

filling the filters before installing will make priming go more quickly.
once the pump is primed crack open the fuse line at the injector while cranking until you have fuel pulsing out, close it then move on to the next injector.
keep doing this until the engine runs smoothly.
it may start running before all the injectors have been purged so keep clear of all moving parts and a fire extinguisher handy would be a good idea.

Isuzu kb 280 dt got a fuel starvation problem after it stands for a few days, when i pump the prime pump on top of fuel filter the problem is gon.

It could either be a fuel pipe between your prime pump and injector pump that sucks air so your diesel flows back into your fuel tank. Or you need to replace the prime pump. There is a rubber diaphragm in the prime pump that gets worn. Unfortunately need to buy a new prime pump. A simple sollution is to fit a non return valve to your fuel line. That need to be connected between the prime pump and fuel tank. Hope it helps. Blessings
