Wires have been cut in battery box. More than ten wires have been cut. Need to know what they went to.

I am not sure about the heater type, but likely the heater element controller shorted out or the heater elements shorted - hence the black around where the wires go into the electric box. If you're lucky, the wires shorted to the side of the box. With the power off, open up the electrical box, mark which wires go where, remove them from the board, remove the wires from the electric box, then using electrical tape, tape up the exposed ends of the wires. Spread them out so they do not touch each other. Turn on the 60 amp breaker - if it trips, then your wires are bad and need replaced. If it does not trip, then the problem is with the heater. Do not let anyone near the wires when testing them! Don't forget to turn off the breaker if it does not trip. Again, turn off the breaker if it did not trip.

Broken wire from a nail. how do i fix/splice?


I think you are saying a nail was driven into your wall and has gone through your thermostat wires? If that's the case here is a simple solution. Go to your local building supply such as Home Depot. Buy a an "old work" box which is designed to go into your wall where there is no stud. It will require you to cut a rectangular hole just large enough for the box, then tighten the screws to install... but dont do that yet. Get the box and a white or beige plain cover to fit it. The plain cover should have no holes except for the two screws to afix it onto the old work box. Cut a small hole next to where the nail went into the wires. Remove the nail and pull the wires out slightly. See which side has more slack. Locate the old work box on the side where the wires are shorter or tighter (less slack) and pull the other wire into the box so that both can be spliced together. If necessary finish cutting the wires the nail didn't sever. Do not cut red with any other wire at the same time because red is the power (24 vac hot) going to the thermostat. When you have pulled both wires into the old work box and tied a knot to prevent them slipping out, then fit the box into the wall hole and tighten the screws to draw the box snug to the wall surface. Splice each color with a wire nut, tiny wire nuts that are blue or grey are for 18-24 gauge bell and thermostat wires. Join red to red, white to white, yellow to yellow, blue to blue, orange to orange, green to green, etc until all are finished. Doing this will eliminate the need to research which wires are actually in use for your application. Install the cover plate. Test your repair.

1993 Ford Explorer battery was stolen and they cut all the cables


which wires ? the ones connected to the battery? or the wiring harness? if it's the battery cables then the large wire is the positive side normally red and the negative side is black and is half the size of the positive wire. The battery will have a + and a - on it so you know that the positive wire is + the larger wire and the smaller is black.

it sounds like you have a security system that has had the sound disconnected. now if this is the case you need to find out if it is a factory or aftermarket. usually if it is a aftermarket system the box for it should be on the driver side under the dash. now don't go just cutting wires these systems tap into some of the major wire harness. get info off the box and contact the manufacturer for a wire schematic. this will allow you to cut and splice the correct wires. good luck

this is easy to do and you musnt be scared.first find 12v permanent ,then 12v switchable,ground ,ignore electric aerial which is normally blue or yellow use a piece of twin flex connected to battery and flash speakers so you know which is where,good clue is speakers have same coloured wires but one has a black or white flash through it .And away you go music

Went through the checklist you gave me.


Ok... but just remember this AMP is rated 750w x 1 @ 2ohms or 375w x1 @ 4ohms RMS So its a mono driver AMP works great with a single sub.

But I see kicker 750's that put out 850 sometimes 900w RMS
I do recommend using at least a 2 farad CAP and a really good battery like at least 800 cranking amps... I usually use like Yellow or Redtop(Optima) batteries 850-1400 cranking amps for kickers+ a single 2farad cap. What happens is a low amp battery will not provide enough "BAM" to keep the AMP working properly at its required voltage/load.. This is why your AMP is not even getting hot/warm its turning off to prevent "Low-Load damage"

What is the cranking AMPs and what type of battery do you have because kickers without CAPs and great batteries can destroy an Alternator reguardless of your current problem.

You should easily be able to pound your chest open and **** the oxygen out of the cab of the truck with a single sub... and the fact it went into protection mode later in the day... not right when you hopped in the truck in the morning tells me the battery might be the culprit... Not saying buy one but.. they are cheaper than a new alternator lol... and if you do blow your alternator make sure you get a higher rated alternator than recommended for your jeep. I think your wiring up to the AMP is fine... Was that sub hitting in the morning?? did it take your breathe away? What type of speakers and what size?

My garmin c330 will not charged


Disassemble then disconnect speaker/battery connector from printed circuit board. Individually cut the red, green and black wires from the battery. Tape over the wire ends of the connector and battery wires that were cut. Re-assemble and unit will work when plugged into 12Vdc. If you want to use the battery, it must be charged with an external Li-Ion charger using red + and black - for the charging connections to the battery. With the connector to the pc board disconnected, solder and tape the battery wires to the connector wires where cut. Re-assemble and it will work & charge.
