Question about 2007 Suzuki GSF 1250 Bandit

1 Answer

The "chec" illuminates along with the oil indicator before I start my 2007 suzuki bandit 1250. The "chec" goes away after several seconds and the oil light goes out upon starting, but both come back after turning the engine off. The oil was just recently changed and the level is correct. Is this normal or should something be troubleshot/repaired?

07 bandit 1250 shows chec on clocks turns over fine but will not start

When the display indicates 'CHEC', check following items:
* Make sure that the engine stop switch is in the (on) position.
* Make sure that the transmission is in neutral or the side stand is fully up.

If the display still indicates "CHEC" after checking the above items, inspect the ignition fuse and the connection of the lead wire couplers

No headlights on 1250 bandit

Hi Anonymous, if your headlight is not working the first thing to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply to headlight bulb socket.
2. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
3. Faulty ignition switch.
4. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
5. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.

Wiring diagram

You can download a free PDF service manual at the site below. Listed is a 1200 Bandit, among others. The wiring diagram should pretty well match your 1250. The service for the motor will pretty well match as well.
