Why won't it engage any forward or reverse gears?

auto or stick trans, we find out its an AUTOmatic.
this trans is most likely a pure hydramatic.
and no TCM tranny brains then.

check levels next. (by the book dont guess)
check the shift cable, for proper movement. in all gears.
"selections, they are no gears" the automatic shifts via clutch packs not gears. like stick does.
move the shift lever and be sure the transmission end of the cable moves 1 for 1 same; that is moves to all transmission shift positions. (at trans itself)
if not the cable is bad or came loose.
inspections are first never transmission swaps, blind (on a whim);
the FSM book covers all this."chapter, on car service" all cars made have this chapter.. an amazing fact.
next, is get a new filter in the trans.
if clogged, the pump can not suck AFT. (shunted input)
so line pressure drops, and it cant shift.
no need to do the stall tests as it fails 100%
next is line pressure, tests. if that fails,
it needs a rebuilt trans.
but dont take my word , read the book.
or ask your tech to do the tests, he knows, how...

When stopped gears sometime grind when shifting into 1st gear(2001 Ford Focus)

Then the clutch is not releasing properly & the continual
grinding will wear the gear teeth & you may also have worn
syncros, that will require you to pull the trans & go thru it, as well
as do a clutch replacement

Hard shifting manual transmission - warm/hot

check the clutch operation especially the m/cylinder for failure. The fluid and the master cyl. is probably not disengaging the clutch enough. the rears will not necessarily grate as the synchros are working overtime to spin the gears for alignment because the clutch shaft is still moving under power from the engine.

Whats problem with my pajero95 gear

Sounds like you need to have the clutches checked. The gearbox will be removed and opened and the clutches changed. If you continue to drive it in that condition it will mean all the clutches will need to be replaced.

Good luck

Where is the shift linage located on an 1985 toyota 4x4 pickup truck? I still cant shift into gear from thje last support you gave me

Without seeing the problem myself, it sounds like you have a clutch problem. It could be the linkage but sounds like the clutch. A manual transmission's linkage is located on the top. It can be reached from the inside of the vehicle through the floorboard. The linkage is attached to the lower end of the gear shift and enters the top side of the transmission. A vehicle repair manual may be helpful, Haynes and Chilton are good ones. Good luck

Clutch problems

If your clutch is not disengaging completely it makes it difficult to get into gear. If it was one gear it may be a synchronizer, but from your description I would say its the clutch.
If your clutch actuator is hydraulic, your master or slave cylinder may be causing the problem. When the seals start to go bad, the clutch will not disengaged completely.

There is usually a dimension in the maintenance manual about checking the gap between the clutch disc and the flywheel. Your local library should have some sort of maintenance manual or perhaps you could find some figures online.
