Question about Honda CRF 100 F Motorcycles

1 Answer

Hello, i have a 2006 honda crf 100 and it wont run. i have cleaned the carb. it dumps gas out of a short hose off the carburator when trying to start it. I can hold the throttle open all the way and it will try to run but nothing more than just sputter. It is dumping the gas out of the short hose off the side of the carb, not the bottom one.

Check to be sure the float is not installed upside down. Also check that the float needle is not stuck open. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

It's probably dirt in the carbs and the steam is the un burnt fuel from a stuck needle valve in the carb

My honda crf 100f motorcycle wont rev up and the carb jets etc are clean , its got new fuel also , any idears please ?

It's got to be in the throttle cable, sometimes depending on the carb, the top assembly cap isn't seated properly and the return spring won't let the slider actuate up and down.
also the floats in the bowl assembly may not be seated properly?

2006 Honda CRF 100. Running good, idle etc. Starts to BOG out when in gear, and throttle is moved past approx 1/4. It will rev up fine but if you want to give it some gas (over 1/4 throttle) it just has a...

The carb jet needle clip position controls partial throttle conditions. If it hasn't been moved from it's stock position, the needle is probably worn and should be replaced along with the main jet and the e-clip put back to the stock position. It's really hard to see if they're worn because the parts are so small. They're cheap parts and the fix is pretty simple so good luck!

My 2004 crf 450 will not run when you take choke off

Hello, Im Bobby.

I would start off buy checking the fuel flow to the carb to do this simply remove the line going from the fuel tank to the carb. There should be good fuel flow at the carb with the line removed. It there is lack of fuel there then the fuel filter is pluged or something is in your tank causing the restriction. If you have good fuel flow at the carb then Im going to say there is a blockage in your carb and the carb would need removed , tore apart and cleaned and reinstalled.

Drain gas tank?

Easiest way is to remove the tank and dump it into a fuel can. (Petcock off, dump it from the gas cap)
Also, to drain the carburator, remove the "plug" at the bottom of the bowl.
