Your bike has a faring on the left side so you may need to remove it to gain access to the left outer casing for removal. You will not be replacing any gears. The only thing needed are new friction plates ( fiber plates w/ cork surface ). The outer pressure plate comes off with 6 bolts. Then the friction and metal pressure plates slide out from the center clutch hub. Install a friction plate then a pressure plate, friction, pressure, friction etc.. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

This problem normally only occurs when the clutch cable needs to be shortened to very littleplay at the lever. If you've lots of free travel in the lever, clutch pack is too tight and shift is hard.I'm sure you know that.Anyway, since is still a problem,I'd be checking the throut at clutch pack before replacing the clutch.Throught lever could be bent or out of position,or just worn out from playing hard. You know how we are.

1. How old is the clutch pack, if more than 2 years, have it checked out.
2. Clutch travel or fork may need some adjustment.

After replacing clutch plates will not go into 1st or fith gear, is this a transmission problem

If the clutch is working in all other gears it would be working in 1st and 5th. It sounds like a bent shift fork in the tranny. Changing the clutch plates should not affect shifting.

Second gear grinding and poping out of gear. Also clutch slips in gears at high rpm

This is simple your going to need transmission work replacement of gears and shift fork or forks as needed after inspection, and a new clutch plates and springs.

Many YZF 600's have a problem with second or third gear, under heavy accelleration they will jump in and out of gear, the fix is in the gear selectors,an internal box problem.
If it is a clutch problem, ride in top gear at 100kl\hr and give the clutch lever a flick, see if it grabs or slips for a while and then takes up.
