Some tools do both riveting and removal, does yours? If you are unsure or not confident I would fit the usual joining link (should be supplied with the new chain) and take it to a bike shop and get them to rivet it. This would be far cheaper than buying the right tool, and you dont want the chain to come apart when riding.

I need to know the Proper Way this New Chain goes on to a 7 Speed Bike, I cannot work out how it routes around all these Cogs & Gears.

I suggest you google for fitting a new bike chain and you will find loads of instructions and videos though having another bike to copy might be the best way to success.

It is not the chain routing you will find difficult I speculate, but finding the right length of chain to fit. The chain you have bought will probably need a few links removing and then once fitted the ends will need rivetting together securely.
You will find that a simple matter when you have seen it done. Adjusting a chain length by adding or removing links is difficult without a chain link extractor tool. Such a tool is inexpensive and an essential addition to the tool box of anyone concerned with chain driven vehicles or equipment.

Thicker chains have the benefit of being able to fit split links and half links but even if they are available they should not be used with a derailleur gear.
Good luck!

How to fit an upgrade armrest on an x type jag?

The center arm rest is attached to the console by 2 small Hex cap screws. The arm rest and intermediate slide panel are attached to the same hinge assembly with rivets.
to replace the upper arm rest, 1st remove the assembly from the console by removing the 2 hex screws this will allow you to work outside of the vehicle on a work bench. 3 rivets hold the arm rest to the hinge. You will need to drill out the rivets using a 1/8" drill bit. and install the replacement arm rest using new 1/8" pop rivets.

Hi guys, can anyone let me know the best way to remove the plastic chain guard from the swing arm of my 2004 YZ 125. it seems to be pop rivited onto the arm itself is this the norm ????

It may be pop riveted, I know on the WR the plastic guard is fitted in Australia, not Japan, and they use what is called a rivnut, which is like a rivet but leaves a thread to screw into.
So if it looks like a pop rivet, it may be.

How to change a chain on a 2006 600 katana

hi depending on what type of chain is fitted to your machine, you will almost certinly need a chain riveting tool, without this you will have to remowe the rear suspension arm from the bike to fit the chain in 1 piece, best advice if you are not sure is to have some 1 fit it for you, inproper fitment can leade to problems, if the chain fails due to incorect fitment. check out the video on the link below.

What tool is used to take strollers apart

Generally strollers are a collection of aluminum rods fitted into plastic supports and locked in with aluminum rivets. Wheels are generally fitted to the axel with capped star locks but have some clip arrangement to remove wheels from the frame for packing down.
Rivets have to be drilled out and replaced with new ones. To flair off the new rivet properly you need a clinch tool & dolly but you can make a less pretty repair with a ball-peen hammer and punch. Capped star locks need to be prized off and will never hold as well again so best replaced. So you need to have some new rivets and capped star locks be for you attempt to dismantle a stroller.

How do i remove links in my power saw chain to make it the proper size. It's a new chain that's the right size for the bar .073 but is too long. I have an Oregon chain break and a shop to do it in. Do I...

Yes they sell links for that at the saw shop. You file the head off two rivets in the chain to remove however many links you need then install the connecting link. If you're not sure how many to remove, take out one at a time putting the connecting link in without bradding the rivets. Put it back on the saw and see if its still too long. When the length is right you brad the end of the rivets that come with the new link.

Found a magna z60sx, the chain is very rusted. how do i get the chain off the bike , so i can soak it in oil?

If the chain does not have a removable link you will need a special tool called a rivet extractor or chain tool. It fits on the chain and has a t shaped handle thay you screw in to force the rivet out of the chain. Do not force the rivet all the way out. It only has to go far enough for you to apply a twisting motion to disengage the links. THe rivet will be left protruding from the side plate. When you are done soaking your chain use a wire brush to remove a the rust . Use the chain tool again to force the rivet back through the opposit plate. It should look like the rest of the links when you are done.If that particular link is binding, bend the chain side to side gently until it frees up. When you are done apply a good chain oil to the chain link by link. Chainsaw chain oil works in a pinch. Crank the chain for a while on the bicycle and then let it sit for a bit to soak in. Carefully wipe the excess off and you are done. Spray lubes are alright for a quick lube but don't last especially in wet conditions (rain, puddles etc.) If your chain jumps while you are pedalling after this, you will need a new chain. Hope this helps.

Need the change the driver's side actuator. Is this a repair I can do myself?

I'm assuming it's the door lock you're talking about. Yes you can do it. You need some tools. Hate to say it, but I've worked on so many cars & trucks I forget exactly what you'll need. 17 years of this & you can't remember all, lol. Well anyway, you need to remove the door panel . Put the window in the up positon. I forget if they were riveted in or bolted. If bolted they will be Torx, readily available tools are at most auto parts stores, sears, etc If riveted, then that maybe an issue. You need a drill,a punch that fits inside the center of the rivet,a hammer,& for re-install a hand riveter & rivets. To change the bolted kind, simply have the window up & door panel off, take the clip off the actuator rod, & I find it easier to unbolt the thing, then remove the wires. If it's riveted, take the punch & knock the center out . Drill the rivet out with a bit that is about twice the size of the hole in the rivet. You may need to wiggle the bit around until the rivet pops out. Install the new actuator using the new rivets & tool. You maybe able to simply use bolts instead, depending on clearance. Now it's up to you if you want to do it. I think you can!
