Either dirt in the tank is getting into the carb or the fuel line is deteriorating and pieces of the inside of the line are getting in the bowl. Disassemble the petcock and replace o-ring, screen, and four hole washer. Put on a new fuel line and consider adding a small inline filter typically used on a lawn mower. This should even take care of rust that may have formed in the tank over the years. If you have bad rust in your fuel tank a chemical cleaning kit can be purchased to soak the inside of the tank and clean out the problem.

My 1991 Chevy s-10 rear wheel drive 4 cylinder has had problems staying on. Every time i turn it on i have to press the gas pedal all the way down for it to stay on and even though it stays on for a bit it...

That year S-10 had a lot of caburator problems and vaccum leaks . Check vaccum leak's first then Check you ilde control curcuit inside the caburator the idle jets may be clogged you also have a idle control set screw that can be adjusted to set the idle higher.

Carburator wont let fuel through to burn

Those carburetters are so small that the least bit of dirt blocks something or jams the needle and seat. Strip and clean the carb and check all diaphragms, replacing the carb kit is of course preferable. Make sure that the fuel supply and return lines are correctly connected, and that the primer bulb pump operates. (Use this as a check for the fuel lines).

Hello, I have a Honda XR250 1990 (europe) Black smoke and licht noise in cilinder, what to do ? Thankx

Did you ever done Decarb for your Motor Cycle ? It is recommended to do a Decarbonisation of Cylinder Head and Replace the liner every 30000 - 40000 Kms .
Black Smoke Can be Because of
1. Damaged Cylinder Liner 2. Dirty Cylinder Head 3. improper Combustion 4. Fuel problems 5. Fuel Pump / Carburetter Problems
need Physical Examination Foe a definite Solution

hi, it seams if you rejetted it wrong or left them out. if float stuck it will flood carburetter and the plugs will get WET and will not start. try to remember the other things you done. gerry

1998 gmc 1500 p/u, 4.3 vortec. Will not start. No codes, good fuel pressure and spark

I assume it is cranking. So if you have gas and fire, we're down to timing, right? Or do you have security light on? Not sure what anti-theft system you have but some only shut off injectors. If no security light, you might have to pull the timing chain cover to check valve timing. Any questions or comments, please reply.
