A new carb at Babbitt's is $209.23. Having a shop clean the existing carb would probably be $40 if you take the carb to them. Be aware that most shops will not work on bikes over 10 years old. Call a shop and ask for sure. The problem with buying an older bike is parts availability. Kawasaki parts are easier found than the other Japanese bikes. Go to the site below for parts. My 86 chevy k5 blazer with carburated engine will crank but not start

As with any no-start situation, you would need to know if the plugs are getting spark and if the carb is spraying fuel into the intake.

I can't get the blower to start. I have replaced the spark plug and there is no fire from the plug. I have checked the fuel and fuel lines and filter. No fire, no start. I even replaced the kill switch.

I have read many problems with this unit but I have never heard anyone mention the
diaphram on the side of the carburator. I can't get my leafblower started and I could
see that no gas was getting to the cylinder. I'm about to go to a repair/parts store to
buy a new diaphram for the carburator that I expect will not cost more than $5.00.
It's located on the left side of the carburator secured by a small metal plate with 4
screws. I know enough now to avoid ever buying a troy bilt product ever again.

My nissan vannete van the problem carburator defective i try to repair to carburators specialist he told me to buy a repair kit & overhauling the carbuarator and after that he try to start the engine...

Carburetor rebuilds are not a cure all for making an engine purr.
Usually, if there is a good gas fuel supply, and it does not perform satisfactorily, it could be a bad emission control, a bad ignition, bad compression, and finally and lastly a fuel delivery problem.
