HI AM I CORRECT IN SAYING THIS BIKE HAS A DRUM BRAKE, AND A SIMPLE SPINDLE, SPACER AND NUT FITMENT, IN THE OLD DAYS HONDA USED A SPLINED WHEEL ATACHMENT TO THE SHAFT BELL HOUSING, WITH THE BIKE ON A STABLE FOOTING, REMOVE THE NUT, SPINDLE &, SPACERS, THIS SHOULD THEN GIVE ENOUGH SPACE TO REMOVE THE WHEEL FROM THE SHAFT HOUSING, A SLIGHT WOBBLE WHILE PULLING THE WHEEL OF THE DIFF IS NORMALY ENOUGH TO REMOVE THE WHEEL,MAKING SURE NOT TO PULL TO HARD AS TO AFFECT THE STABILITY OF THE MACHINE ON ITS STAND, USE OF A GOOD LUBRICATION IS RECOMENDED ON REASEMBLY OF THE SHAFT SPLINED GEAR, HOPE THIS HELPS

How to remove back tire on a shaft driven honda vt 1100, year 1994

Position bike on center stand or lift so it is upright and stable with rear wheel off the ground.

Disconnect rear brake linkage, unbolt and remove axle from hub, brake drum and final drive. pay attention to where the spacers and washers are...Pull wheel out of final drive knuckles, roll tire forward a couple inches to clear swing arm then out from under fender.
Good luck, i hope this helps.

Changing rear tire.Need instructions for rear wheel removal and drive shaft disconnection.

You should not have to unbolt the final drive assembly. Loosen the rear axle nut, take out the bolt, knock out the spacer , lift the caliper assembly out of the way and hang it by a wire, grab the wheel, and slide it sideways away from the final drive. The wheel should slide right off the spline of the final drive and roll out the back under the fender. If the wheel wont slide past the final drive let the air out of the tire. Be sure to coat the spline of the final drive with moly60 paste available at your local Honda dealer when reassembling.

I cant get the rear tire off my 2004 honda vt 1100 c2. Seame like the swing arm is the reason, but the honda servce manual says it should slide to the right and come right off. I need help! :) Seams like...

Often to remove the rear wheel on a Honda , you have to let the air out of the tire and squeeze it out past the shaft drive spline. Some times the problem is made worse by previous owners that put on a tire bigger than the recommended size. With no air in the tire it should come out easily enough.

How to change rear tire on 2004 750 honda shadow aero? Do i need to pull the final Drive?

You do not have to remove the final drive , the wheel is resting on a spline shaft. Center stand the motorcycle or lift the rear wheel, remove the axle bolt, knock out the spacer, and slide the brake panel out of the way. Now the wheel is resting only on a splined shaft. Grab the wheel and gently slide it away from the final drive ( off the splined shaft ) and roll it out the back of the wheel well. When replacing the wheel be sure to get some MOLY60 paste from the Honda dealer and grease the spline before putting the wheel back on.

Removal of motorcycle rear tire/shaft driven

The final drive assembly has to be unbolted from the swingarm and it is removed with the rear wheel. Once the assembly is off the bike, the axle can be removed and the final drive separated from the wheel.

1977 honda goldwing rear tire removal never had

Get a service manual.
there are two ways to go. both time consuming and of moderate difficulty.
My favorite is to remove the trunk, saddlebags, rear fender as a unit. Then the tire is in the open to work on. Not an easy job.
