Question about 2000 Harley Davidson FLHTCUI Electra Glide Ultra Classic

1 Answer

I have a 2005 FLHT/CU. Problem is when I am riding with the headset plugged in, periodically the right ear sound cuts off. However, I have purchased another brand new set and the problem continues to exist.

Pull the front of the faring loose so you can reach in the back of the radio and make sure the plug is seated all the way in the socket. have seen this problem with a lot of the earlier radios. also check the connection under the seat make sure they are clean and tight, follow the wires that come from under the dash to under seat to check these. let me know what you find. Thanks

P11 only plays out one ear.

hi Charzie.
There can be many reasons that a pair of headphones only play audio out of one ear. The most common reason for sound to only come out of one side is the wires near the audio jack have gotten bent back and forth so many times that it has caused a short in the wiring.
read up on how you might be able to fix this.

Ear loop broken-purchased loops and they snap and break

nujanitoral.jpgDon't spend lots of money buying blue tooth headsets Go to your local Walmart and purchase the Emerson Blue Tooth headset it comes with 2 ear loops that are made of a flexible plastic and 6 inner ear buds for a very snugged fit. The ear loops will also fit your LG blue tooth headset. You can also purchase the headset by following this link http://www.walmart.com/ip/Wireless-Gear-Bluetooth-2.0-Headset/15852098

When I plug in in my plantronics 367 closed ear gaming headset all I hear is the sound I cant get the mic working

This is a plug-n-play headset, so no special software is necessary for it to work properly. You want to make sure the leads are plugged into the right jacks on the computer and that the jacks are live.

Headphones are only working in one ear.

This is a common problem. All stereo adapters will only play in the right ear. What you should do is send back the headset adapter and get a stereo headset that plugs directly into the 2.5mm jack, without going through an adapter. That should solve the problem.

The sound comes and goes from right part of headset

The left/right problem could be a bad connection on the red/white XBOX cables. Check to see that they're plugged in properly and not loose. You can also try plugging an MP3 player into the red/white jacks to see if the problem is with the headset or the XBOX. If it works ok with your MP3 player, then the headset is working fine.

You can get a new headset controller cable on our web site. Click on Replacement Parts in the left menu for the headset model you own (X1, X3, or X4).
