Question about 2001 Yamaha FZS 600 S Fazer

Yamaha Fazer 600 2000g speedo error the rev counter is sticking on 3,5 then on 1 then on 0 then agein to 3 what is the problem!?

Think your tps sensor not connected properly it will show 3000 revs for 3 seconds then your idle speed for 3 seconds ( being 1) then 0 for 3 seconds and will repeat until you turn ignition off. its on the right hand side by the carbs the plug is covered by a black plastic sleeve turn bike off then disconnect sensor clean contacts then re connect. hope that helps

My 2003 fazer 1000 has a fault code o7 does any one know what this means the rev counter goes from 0 to 7000rpm only when i do motorway riding

Have no electrical system at all. lights horn fuel gauge speedo rev counter.bike starts and runs


G'day, sounds like maybe you've blown your main or ignition fuse, would be the first place i'd check, then maybe battery conections to make sure the wiring looms being suplied with power from the battery. Hope this helps :)

My neutral light and speedo will not work on my 2000 r1 there is power to the clock but it just reads zero all the time also the rev counter keeps flickering zero to 3000 and it wont start with the stand...

Rev counter sticking on no 7


This is indicating a fault code. Check Fazer forums for which one.

try to check yor meter conection at the rear of your meter.there is a loose connection due to vibration

The needle jumoing to 7,000 on the RPM dial means that the EXUP valve is stuck. This is a common problem with Fazer 1000's. Although Yamaha don't recommend any maintenence I strip and clean mine regularly to stop it from sticking. According to Yamaha - a sticking valve is not a serious problem and the bike can be ridden until you get time to fix it.
