SOURCE: i have a tzr 250 that has just been rebuilt after

Well first of, I hope you made sure that you correctly installed the rings. The rings have to be in properly in order to get good compression. The color of the smoke can help to diagnose the problem. If it is smoking and its been very close to the time of the last engine repair there is a possibility that lubricants and what not are being burned. Good luck and remember to always look at the manual.

Replaced bad fuel pump. Still will not start. Only 6 volts at the pump relay. Bypassing the relay indicated pump is working and plenty of pressure. Checked all the fuses all are good. Any ideas?

Year make and model ?
You should have two hot circuits to the relay. One is for the pump and the other is for the coil of the relay. Usually power comes from the key switch.

2000 chevy cavalier wont turn over

firstly check if you have a pressure sensor in the fuel manifold . If you have then it controls power to the ECM to the pump relay to the pump and switches the pump off when fuel pressure in the manifold is reached . Also check for a fuel emergency shut off switch that you may have to reset

Without a voltmeter and a wiring diagram, you're in a bit of a fix. But I would be wondering why the ignition switch isn't sending power to the coil primary positive terminal, and why it isn't causing the fuel pump to be turned on, too.
Is your check engine light on with key on? The computer should sense ignition is on and briefly turn on the fuel pump through the fuel pump relay, on just long enough to pressurize the fuel line to the injector. But no fuel or fire-you'd better start by checking if the ignition switch has power in and power out, and work your way to the coil.

My car won't start I have changed the coil fuel pump fuel pump relay and the Mfi relay I now think its the crank shaft relay but I do not know help me !

Sounds like maybe the main computer is bad. When you cranked the engine there is not any indication that it is firing. If you have changed the fuel pump and coil and it still wont even fire, the computer is most likely the cause. Even if the timming was off you would still get some indication that it was trying to start although it probably would not if the timming was off, but the fact it's not even trying to fire yeah that's my take.

05 c240 turns over won't start

most likely you have a bad crank sensor or fuel problem you need to check fuel pressure ,if you have enough pressure ,most likely you need crank position sensor,if you don`t have fuel pressure ,it might be your fuel pump relay or the pump, i would start with the relay first very unexpensive. you can also hear the pump if it`s working by cranking the engine and listening rear of the car for a humming sound .
good luck

New fuel pump and it still wont start

Check for proper Ground to fuel pump circuit. Start at fuel pump, work your way back through wiring, to the relay.

Wont start - the engine turns but won't fire

In addition to the battery voltage to "turn the engine over"...ignition requires spark and gas. so first check the battery voltage with meter.it should show 12 volts. If the battery is proper and fully charged you get 12 volts.

A car that cranks over but doesn't start or does not fire, in many cases will be due to a bad fuel pump, a broken timing belt, an inoperative cam sensor or crank sensor. Also this problems are related to faulty spark plug. Check the spark at spark plugs when you start the car. Do you notice any spark. Actually you should see. If in case there is no spark then it's a spark plug problem. Also the coil pack gives power to spark plug. So check the voltage at coil pack. It will show 12 volt.If there is no voltage noticed at coil pack then its faulty coil pack that has to be replaced. If all the possible options checked out ok then check the car starter. The starter gets power from battery to start the care. If the starter is faulty then it will not let the car to start. Also check and confirm that there is fuel in the car. If its very low fuel then in some cases this causes the problem. Also check and confirm that fuel pump is functioning properly and the fuel filter is not clogged. One of the easiest ways to check for a fuel pump related problem is to spray a little starting fluid into the air intake while trying to start the car. If the car starts momentarily, then there's a good chance the fuel pump is not working or the car is out of gas. You can also listen for the fuel pump's humming sound when the key is first turned on. Also if a inoperative fuel pump is suspected, a good technician will always check to verify there is power and ground being supplied to the pump, to eliminate the possibility of a bad relay or electrical issue. Fuel pressure can be checked with a pressure gauge and if there is pressure, pulse can be checked at the fuel injectors in several ways including the most common, with the use of noid lights. If the injectors don't have pulse the engine won't start. ---------- This troubleshooting tips will help you to solve the problem.Thanks.Helpmech.

2000 dodge durango trys to start and cuts right back off. Fuel fiter been changed and it is firing at the cap. Is it the fuel pump

make sure that your battery is good, put a multimeter on it, make sure you have over 12 volts on it and start it and see where the voltage drops to. If it drops below 11 volts, you have a weak battery, It should actually never drop below 12, If good, check your relay for the fuel pump. There are several that are the same in the relay panel. Driver side in engine compartment. Swap relay with another and start.

10-12 volts, that is low, have the battery load tested at a local parts store like Autozone, it's free.
