Where ever your ground wire is mounted to the frame, take a wire brush or something rough to it, the paint is probably killing your ground.

Can I fit a SUZUKI RM 250 Engine into a 2000 RM 125 frame?

Hi, Anthony sounds like something I would try when I was a kid but after careful deliberation 4 out 5 Suzuki Gods give this one a thumbs down, but just to be on the safe side you should give your local dealer's parts/service department a call to confirm it's just not worth the time trouble and expense you would be better off getting a used 250 bike. Hey joe could you give me a step by step modification on my suzuki 1993 250 rm frame so that 2001 125 rm engine will fit and I know what to do please thanks rufthelab@yahoo.com

Modifying the frame If really needed Should be avoided as any bending or altering of design and re-welding could cause issue with frames stability, i am sure you can pickup an RM Frame pretty cheap.

My RM 250 won't spark. The engines been taken

Things to check are

1/ Short out plug wire to good earth to check for spark, if none check rest of sequence. If spark, replace spark plug.
2/ Next check wiring connectors from the ingition module to coil and ensure they are all tight.
3/ This is quite technical but the use of a digital / analogue meter is required.
4/ Place a meter on each wire to the coil and crank (Without spark plug in) there should be some voltage / current flow through the feed wires (Not the earth - Black) If nothing trace back to Generator.
5/ Forgot to mention the kill switch operation, if unsure bridge these wires together.
Other than that the other tests involve sound electrical knowledge and is beyond the scope of the average person.
A thought, if this model has a battery ensure its fully charged.

I got a 1995 rm 250 that the gears are stuck.

Sorry to have to say this, you have a bent shift fork. The repair means taking the engine out of the frame then removing the top end, removing the flywheel and electrics, removing the clutch , shift mechanism and kick starter and a few other parts. THEN you are ready to split the gearbox to remove the crankshaft and then the bent shift fork. Next you get to put it all back together. This is a pretty big job for the home mechanic.

You will need an impact driver, flywheel puller, case splitter and torque wrench plus the normal screwdriver, pliers, etc.. Alternate to the special tools is taking it to the dealer and say "Fix it".
I normally tell people to take it to the shop just so they don't get into such an involved project.

Please rate this solution. Thanks
