I'm looking at buying a Harley Davidson 2003 Road King Classic. The current owner said that it was a 4 speed, but all of the technical specs say it is supposed to be a 5 speed. Did Harley make a 4 speed transmission in that model?

Hi, Charles for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can not find the best tool you ever bought for your Harley, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

Hi, Dyneen the answer to this question is way above my pay grade for this situation, I would call or visit my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts enquiry.

2011 harley davidson road knig classic. Ou to nowhere I have NO rear brakes...pedal totally loose. full of fluid & bled lines with steady flow @ rear cap, when tightened, loose pedal & no brakes....any...

On idea that comes to mind id it seems Harley has been having a problem with the rear brake light switch leaking, causing exactly what you describe, plus sometime fluid sprayed under pressure and smoking when sprayed on hot engine parts.

On the National Government recall site, there are several complaints about this:
