Is it cheaper to re-chrome the bore on my 2001 300 or buy a new one?

It is up to ur performance of the bike if u r sure that it could make something after re-chrome go for it. otherwise buy a new one.

How to increase a 250


You can rebore to a higher cc but not normally worth the expense unless you have a damaged piston. Also many bores are chromed, so you have to get them bored, chromed and honed. Then you have to make sure you can get the oversize piston before.

For increasing speed, just take it to someone who races them.

I have a kia sorento 2003 diesel auto I have just fitted new glow plugs and there is power getting to them but the car will not start when cold


Sounds like loss of compression but i could be wrong in cases like this i fit a manual overide push in type switch ,with no relays a nice heavy wire from battery to switch then other side to the heaters .Use a decent switch designed for this not a bell push switch .if problem persists then remove the head and grind the valves in with new seals ,and remove the pistons and check for ring gap where you push a ring into the bore and measure the gap --4th per inch diameter ,ie 3 inch bore then its 12th also the side movement of the ring in the ring groove on the piston ,failing which buy a new car it could be cheaper especially if you local goverment is giving scrappage against a new car ,and get a petrol as new EEC regulations will soon outlaw diesels from urban centres ---at long last

Remove Engine From Vehicle,
Strip Engine And Wash Clean,
Take Engine Block ,Conrods,Cylinder Head To Machine Shop Ask Them To Check all Sizes For Wear Etc If Worn Beyond Usefull Limits Purchace New Liners And Pistons And Have Them Fit It For You,
Some Times The Bore Changes Shape I.E. Bore Is Oval If So They Do Supply Oversize Chrome Linners So That the Block Can Be Borred Round Before Fitthing New Linners!
Check Crank Shaft And Cam Shaft ,
Cylinder Head Should Be Presure Tested And Vave Guides Checked, Valves Should Be Checked For Wear Seating And Lapped Back In
Injector pump Service And Injectors Serviced
Get Full Overhall Gasket Set New Set Mains and Big End Bearings ,
You Should now Be ready To Re Assemble Your New engine!

The 128 is an entry level American built machine, the C and L version has a silica bore cylinder, only the R version has a chrome bore, they do suffer with piston and bore wear, it has to be said it is not the best hobby machine out there.

i would look into boring it out but bdepends how bad cylinder is damaged.... maybe buy a replacement cylinder head as it would be cheaper.... hope this helps

Lack of power and black smoke


Looks like you're burning oil, which probably means the engine's worn. Cylinders could need re-boreing, new piston rings. It may be cheaper to buy a re-conditioned engine.

NO! This is the best Fax Machine ever made ! Your scanner is dirty. You can do it yourself.

Remove 3 chrome screws on the left side cover
remove 1 chrome screw below the power cord on the back,

Pull the cover off.

Remove the green plug on the scanner carefully
Remove the 2 chrome screws. Pull the scanner out.

Clean the 2 mirrors throughly.

Reassemble.

By replacing the ceramic cartidge inside, however to replace it requires dismantling the tap (Mains off of course) and matching a new unit. Usually cheaper to buy a new tap.

if you are saying you have piston slap, you could have the cylinders bored and have oversized pistons installed, this will be cheaper than new cylenders, and just as good.
