Fuel mixture,check gas,make sure there is no water or anything else in tank,drain and put new plugs and gas,all else fails CARB ADJ.

Hi, Ronald and the usual suspects are:
1. Throttle cables improperly adjusted, pinched or need lubrication.
2. Idle adjusting screw needs to be backed off.
4. Air fuel mixture adjusted too lean start with 2 full turns.
5. Intake system air leak.
6. Fast idle choke ramp is not releasing.
7. Broken throttle return spring.
8. Damaged diaphragm or slide.
9. Faulty MAP, TPS, ATS, O2, sensors or wiring/connector
10. Multi carburetors not in sync.

V Star 1100 Classic will not return to idle at a stop without shifting into neutral

My 1600 roadstar back fires abd pops when idling


sounds like it is getting to much fuel you may need to have carbs rejetted or the gas is bad as gas now has ethenol in it and bikes dont like it so i add seafoam to my gas and it works wonders i do this about 1 time every 2 weeks to keep everything cleaned

Won't idle smooth-#2 cylynder back fires while idleing


could be the carb or EFI system , a sticking valve or check fuel filter,try changing the oil and add some marvel mystery oil to it then start and let idle.you should also check your plugs and wires again to make sure one isnt loose and you didnt foul a plug

Backfires


YOU ARE NOT BURNING ALL THE FUEL IN THE CYLINDER HTE FUEL THAT ISNT BURNT GOES IN THE EXHAUST AND WHEN YOU DEACCELERATE IT WILL BACK FIRE SO THERE IS TO MUCH FUEL GOING INTO THE CYLINDER ON CARB THERE ARE 2 SCREWS 1 FOR IDLE AND 1 FOR MIXTURE ADJUST THE MIXTURE ONE SCREW IT IN 1/4 OF TURN AND TRY IT

How to lower the idle on a 2002 yamaha 650 v-star classic?


under the left side of the gas tank you will see i black knob/screw at the end of what looks like a hose. the knob faces the rear of bike. that adjusts the idle. its real easy to find and the only adjustment you can make to the carbs.

You might have a bad voltage regulator that killed the battery,how long did it run? Was it on a high idle(choked)?
